论蓝诗玲英译《马桥词典》中叙事视角的再现方式

本研究拟借助叙事学理论,分析蓝诗玲在《马桥词典》英译本中对原文叙事视角的再现方式,进而探讨叙事学理论对小说翻译实践的适用性,以期对中国文学的外译具有促进意义。作为中国当代文学的典范,“寻根派”文学家代表韩少功将其对中国地域文化的深度思考,融入对小说叙事策略和技术的探寻,创作出了独特的词典体小说《马桥词典》。作者以方言作为叙事线索,打破传统线性叙事,描写出多个人物的遭际,从而思考了语言对人命运的制约。该作唯一的英文译本由英国著名汉学家蓝诗玲于2003年完成出版,从而将这一富有中国地域文化色彩的方言小说推向世界读者。然而对此颇具方言特色的小说翻译研究鲜少,且主要成果多集中于语言表层结构,即语言形式和结构对等研究,以及文化传播层面的翻译研究,忽略了词典体的特殊叙事形式和多层话语的叙述结构对语言表层结构及其语义实现的影响。而叙事视角的运用作为现代小说的重要叙述技巧,关系到小说的主题意义、作者意图的传达以及人物话语心理表达。本文拟以叙事学理论为依据,以英译《马桥词典》为例探究叙事视角的再现方式,围绕以下三个问题进行探讨:译者对叙述者视角的转换如何影响叙述者话语的表达?译者对人物视角的转换如何影响...
