【摘要】：《朝花夕拾》是我国著名作家鲁迅所著的一部散文集,他在书中描述了自己童年和青年时期的经历,为读者展示了当时的风土人情和社会风貌,是一部极具文化特色的文学作品。书中有大量具有中国文化内涵的词汇。根据奈达对文化因素的分类,本文将《朝花夕拾》中的文化负载词分成生态文化负载词,物质文化负载词,社会文化负载词,宗教文化负载词和语言文化负载词等五类。准确通顺地翻译这部作品中的文化负载词,向外国读者展示原汁原味的中华文化对译者来说是一个很大的挑战。本文以杨宪益夫妇的英译本为研究对象,从关联理论视角分析《朝花夕拾》中文化负载词的翻译,探讨杨宪益夫妇在翻译这部散文集中的文化负载词时是如何忠实传达作者意图、实现最佳关联的。关联理论是认知语用学理论的重要组成部分,其核心问题是语言交际与认知,核心概念是关联性,目的是识别存在于人类心理的内在机制,从而解释人类交际的方式。翻译作为一种跨语言、跨文化的交际行为,也遵循交际行为的一般原则。因此,关联理论可以为翻译研究提供一个有指导性的理论框架,并对翻译实践有着较强的解释力。本文通过实例分析,总结杨宪益夫妇翻译这部散文集中的文化负载词所采用的翻译方法,探讨这些方法是如何使得杨译本实现最佳关联的。首先,本文根据韦努蒂关于文化翻译的论述,将杨译本中所采用的翻译策略归类为归化翻译和异化翻译两种策略;然后,再通过具体的例证,探讨杨宪益夫妇如何通过采取直译、意译、替代、音译等翻译方法来传达作者的意图,同时将文化负载词中文化内涵顺利传达给目的语读者,从而扩大他们的认知环境。文章由此得出结论:杨宪益夫妇对散文集中文化负载词的翻译很好地体现了“最佳关联性”原则。他们充分理解了原文中文化负载词所包含的文化内涵,同时准确地把握了原文作者的意图。在此基础上,杨宪益夫妇充分考虑目的语读者的认知环境和接受能力,选取了恰当的翻译策略以及相应的翻译方法。最终,他们成功地节省了目的语读者的推理努力,将原作者的意图以及灿烂的中华文化顺利传达给了目的语读者。
