【摘要】:在英国漫长而恢弘的文学史上,R.M.巴兰坦(1825-1894)这个名字对于国内多数人来说或许只能用“鲜为人知”这四个字来形容。作为一名历险小说创作家,甚至在人们提及英国维多利亚时期的历险小说时他也显得那么名不见经传。然而如果要研究自由帝国主义时期英国的青少年教育与文学,巴兰坦毫无疑问起着举足轻重的作用。 巴兰坦具有着极强的社会责任感与参与意识,一生百余部作品中有80余部是有关青少年教育。他在作品中始终强调青少年应该到社会中,在历险中锻炼自己的“男子汉气概”,遵循上帝的教义,爱护妇女儿童,重视友谊的作用,并且文中自由帝国主义思想随处可见。 随着近几年对青少年教育问题关注度的日益提高,以及对维多利亚时期小说的研究日渐深入与广泛,英国十九世纪自由帝国主义时代的青少年教育已经开始引起部分学者的浓厚兴趣。因而本文意在通过分析巴兰坦最具代表性的历险小说《珊瑚岛》来阐释维多利亚时期青少年教育的状况,特别是当时的福音教派所倡导的强健派基督教义对作家写作以及对当时社会青少年教育的内在影响。论文一共五个部分,主体部分是第二、三、四三部分。首先,论文第一部分给出作者以及小说的整体介绍,并重点分析了国内外对历险小说的研究动态,特别是对青少年成长体裁类小说的研究状;第二部分将详细介绍自由帝国主义时期的英国的青少年教育的理论,影响该时期教育体系形成的主要因素;第三部分结合《珊瑚岛》内容阐释在福音派影响下而出现的“强健的基督教”在青少年教育过程中所起到的作用,即锻炼体魄的同时,使之牢牢树立帝国主义思想;最后,第四部分按照小说文本所揭示的内容,阐述帝国主义在小说文本中的三位少年主人翁的历险过程中所得到的体现,特别是通过福音教派对土著居民的开化教育上。第五部分做出总结,指出《珊瑚岛》是一部可以直接解读出英国十九世纪自由帝国主义时期的青少年教育模式的具有历史文学研究价值和世纪社会功效的小说。自由帝国主义时期的在一定程度上体现出当时的英国帝国主义与文化共谋,促进社会全方位发展这一概念。
[Abstract]:In the long and magnificent history of English literature. R. M. Even when people mention British Victorian adventure novels, he seems less famous. However, if one wants to study English youth education and literature during the free imperialist period. There is no doubt that Balantan plays an important role. Balantan has a strong sense of social responsibility and participation, more than 80 of his more than 100 works are about youth education. In his works, he has always stressed that young people should be in society. In the adventure exercise their "manly spirit", follow the doctrine of God, love women and children, attach importance to the role of friendship, and free imperialist ideas can be found everywhere. With the increasing attention to juvenile education in recent years, and the Victorian novel research is deepening and extensive. In 19th century, youth education in the age of free imperialism in England began to arouse the interest of some scholars. Therefore, this article is intended to explain Victoria by analyzing Ballantine's most representative adventure novel, Coral Island. The status of adolescent education in Asia. Especially, the Christianity advocated by the evangelical sect at that time had an inherent influence on the writer's writing and the education of the youth in the society at that time. There were five parts in the thesis, the main part was the second and third. First of all, the author and the whole of the novel are introduced in the first part of the paper, and the research trends of adventure novels at home and abroad are analyzed, especially the style novels of juvenile growth. The second part will introduce in detail the theory of youth education in Britain during the free imperialist period, and the main factors influencing the formation of the educational system in that period. The third part, combined with Coral Island, explains the role of "strong Christianity" under the influence of evangelical schools in the process of youth education, that is, to exercise the physique at the same time. To firmly establish imperialist ideas; Finally, according to the content revealed in the novel text, the 4th part expounds the embodiment of imperialism in the adventure process of the three teenage masters in the novel text. In particular, through evangelical sects to the indigenous peoples of the civilized education. 5th part of the summary. It is pointed out that Coral Island is a novel with historical literary research value and social efficacy in the century which can be directly interpreted from the educational model of youth in the British Free imperialist period in 19th century.
