【摘要】：艾丽丝·沃克(Alice Walker1944-)是当代美国文坛最有影响的作家之一,也是美国历史上第一位获得普利策奖的黑人女作家。《紫颜色》是她的代表作。沃克在这部作品中立足于黑人文化传统,巧妙地运用了书信体形式,讲述了一个黑人女性心理觉醒的故事。本文以该小说的书信体为切入点,结合小说的主题探讨小说中叙事的特点及其意义。论文首先追溯了西方书信体小说的由来,并且从第一人称视角的使用和复调两方面分析了艾丽丝·沃克在《紫颜色》中对该叙事模式的继承与发展,然后着重讨论了小说的复调效果。文章接着分析了空白艺术在小说中的运用,说明信件中空白格式从有到无体现了女主人公的成长历程,指出书信如同对话,让读者感觉到交谈者和收信人的存在。最后,论文对比分析了小说中的两种不同的英语变体：黑人土语和标准英语,认为通过两种语言变体的交替使用,不仅实现了叙述者的转换,还形象地凸显了人物的生存环境与背景的反差。这些叙述特点既增强了小说的真实感,又细致入微地表现了主人公的心理特征,使读者在获得艺术感受和启迪。
[Abstract]:Alice Walker Alice Walker is one of the most influential writers in contemporary American literature. She is also the first black woman writer to win the Pulitzer Prize in American history. "Purple Color" is her masterpiece. Walker bases on the black culture tradition in this work, and skillfully uses the epistolary form. It tells the story of a black woman's psychological awakening. This paper takes the epistolary style of the novel as the breakthrough point, and discusses the characteristics and significance of the narrative in the novel combined with the theme of the novel. Firstly, the paper traces the origin of the western epistolary novel. And from the use of the first person perspective and polyphonic analysis of Alice Walker in the Color Purple, the inheritance and development of this narrative pattern. Then it discusses the polyphonic effect of the novel. Then the article analyzes the application of blank art in the novel, explains that the blank form in the letter reflects the heroine's growing up process, and points out that the letter is like a dialogue. Finally, the thesis makes a comparative analysis of two different English variants in the novel: black vernacular and standard English. It not only realizes the conversion of narrator, but also vividly highlights the contrast between the living environment and background of the characters. These narrative features not only enhance the reality of the novel, but also show the psychological characteristics of the protagonist in detail, and make the readers get artistic feelings and inspiration.
