生存在夹缝中的人—《喜福会》的语言杂糅性研究

【摘要】：近年来,后殖民主义似乎成为了《喜福会》研究中的‘香饽饽’。已有评论家就《喜福会》的文化杂糅性进行过研究。尽管像拼音、罗马标注的拼音以及用中文结构造的英文句子等杂合语言明显的散落在《喜福会》的字里行间,但到目前为止还鲜有人对《喜福会》的语言杂糅性及其意义进行过研究。因此,本文借用霍米巴巴的杂糅性、模拟和第三空间的概念,对《喜福会》中的语言杂糅性进行研究,认为混杂的语言是作者为那些生存在夹缝中的“他者”设计的发声空间。无论是在中国人还是美国人的眼中,谭恩美、《喜福会》中的母亲和女儿们都是他者。她们被迫在文化之间做出抉择,无论她们如何抉择都不可能同时满足来自两个世界的声音。她们常常因为必须在中国式和美国式之间做出抉择而感到无可奈何。混杂的语言为这些困在文化夹缝中的人带来了曙光。混杂的语言打破了文化冲突的坚冰；通过文化干预和语言渗透,混杂的语言动摇了英语的权威性。在语言混杂的过程中,一个新的发声空间产生于英语和中文的间隙空间之中。这一发声空间的建立,使得夹缝中人不必再在东方和西方之间抉择；夹缝中人在这一发声空间开辟出了中美两国文化的协商空间进而创造出了她们独有的混杂文化传统。
[Abstract]:In recent years, post-colonialism seems to have become a hot spot in the study of the Joy Luck Club. Critics have studied the cultural hybridity of the Joy Luck Club, though it is like pinyin. Romanized pinyin and English sentences with Chinese structures are clearly scattered between the lines of the Joy Luck Club, but so far, few people have studied the language hybridity and its meaning of the Joy Luck Club. This paper uses the concepts of hybridity, simulation and the third space of HomiBaba to study the language hybridity in the Joy Luck Club. To think that jumbled language is the voice space designed by the author for the "other" who lives in the crevice, whether in the eyes of the Chinese or the American. Amy Tan, the mothers and daughters of the Joy Luck Club are all other people. They are forced to choose between cultures. No matter how they choose, they cannot satisfy the voices from both worlds at the same time. They often feel helpless because they have to choose between Chinese and American. Mixed language breaks the ice of cultural conflict; Through cultural intervention and language penetration, mixed languages shake the authority of English. In the process of language mixing, a new vocal space arises from the gap between English and Chinese. So that the people in the gap no longer have to choose between the East and the West, and in this voice space, they have opened up the negotiation space between the Chinese and American cultures, thus creating their unique mixed cultural tradition.
