汤亭亭《女勇士》的后现代主义特征

【摘要】：《女勇士》是美国华裔女作家汤亭亭代表作之一,在其所有作品中读者最多却也最具争议性。本文借用后现代主义的文学理论对其进行解读,探讨其中两个典型的后现代主义特征,即互文性和元小说性。作为后现代主义理论的核心特征之一,互文性研究的是文本之间的关系。《女勇士》中的互文性主要体现在其对传统自传的整体性戏仿以及对中国经典的民间传说、历史故事等的挪用、改写和拼贴。由于与历史语境相结合,后现代主义文本特有的元小说性在《女勇士》中有了新的表现形式——“历史编纂元小说”。作为后现代主义元小说发展的新阶段,“历史编纂元小说”在《女勇士》中主要是通过历史叙事与元小说的自我指涉的融合以及其它独特的叙事方式表现出来。《女勇士》的这些写作手法打破了传统自传的写作模式,挑战了历史叙事的真实性和权威性,使整部作品呈现出后现代主义小说的特色。
[Abstract]:Female Warrior is one of the representative works of Maxine Hong Kingston, a Chinese American female writer, who has the most readers but also the most controversial in all her works. This article uses the literary theory of postmodernism to interpret it. As one of the core features of postmodernism theory, two typical postmodernism characteristics, namely intertextuality and metafiction, are discussed. Intertextuality studies the relationship between texts. The intertextuality in the female Warrior is mainly reflected in its holistic parody of the traditional autobiography and the misappropriation of Chinese classical folklore and historical stories. Rewriting and collage. Combined with historical context, The metafiction characteristic of postmodernism text has a new form of expression in female Warrior. As a new stage of the development of postmodernism metafiction, "Historical compilation Metafiction" is in "Women Warrior". Mainly through the combination of historical narration and metafiction's self-referencing and other unique narrative methods, these writing techniques of "female Warriors" break the traditional autobiography writing mode. It challenges the authenticity and authoritativeness of historical narration, and makes the whole novel show the characteristics of postmodernism novel.
