《格列佛游记》中斯威夫特对欧洲中心主义的矛盾态度

【摘要】：乔纳森·斯威夫特的作品一贯讽刺当时英国社会的种种弊端。国内外学者对其代表性著作《格列佛游记》的研究主要集中在讽刺艺术,社会理想和反人类的倾向。然而《格列佛游记》中斯威夫特对欧洲中心主义的矛盾态度尚未得到充分的研究。笔者运用后殖民主义理论,通过文本细读,对《格列佛游记》中欧洲中心主义的主题进行了研究。 本文通过分析小说中对欧洲中心主义在政治、经济和知识方面的表现的批判和讽刺,解释了斯威夫特对欧洲中心主义所持的否定和批判态度；同时,本论文通过梳理该小说中的“中心(自我)／边缘(他者)”叙事模式,殖民话语和财富意象,发现斯威夫特对欧洲中心主义的肯定与支持态度。最后,笔者得出结论,认为斯威夫特在《格列佛游记》中对欧洲中心主义既持批判和讽刺态度,又持赞同和肯定态度。
[Abstract]:Jonathan Swift's works always satirize the shortcomings of British society at that time. Scholars at home and abroad mainly focus on satirical art in their representative work called Gulliver's Journey. Social ideals and anti-human tendencies. However, Swift's contradictory attitude towards Eurocentrism in Gulliver's travels has not been fully studied. This paper studies the theme of Eurocentrism in Gulliver's travels. By analyzing the criticism and satire on the political, economic and intellectual aspects of Eurocentrism in the novel, this paper explains Swift's negative and critical attitude towards Eurocentrism. By combing the narrative mode of "the center", the colonial discourse and the image of wealth in the novel, this thesis finds Swift's positive and supportive attitude towards Eurocentrism. Finally, the author draws a conclusion. It is believed that Swift, in Gulliver's travels, criticizes and satirizes Eurocentrism, and agrees with and affirms it.
