《爱玛》中男女主人公言语交际性别差异研究

【摘要】：大量研究表明,性别因素以特定的方式在影响着人们的言语行为。而语言的性别差异则会影响人们跨性别的交际,而性别语言的研究有助于我们减少交流障碍,促进两性的和谐交流。本文选取小说《爱玛》作为研究对象。小说作者简·奥斯汀擅长以对话描写来推动小说情节的发展。本小说从开篇到结尾都有大量的人物对话,而小说中人物话语不但能够突出人物性格特点且常含机锋。也很适合作为语言学研究的语料来使用,为本文研究性别话语提供了大量语料素材。本文从两方面对《爱玛》中男女主人公的话语进行研究,一是从词汇、句法等语言系统的角度来探讨男女在言语使用中的差别;二是从语用学方面利用礼貌和合作原则来分析小说中人物是如何破坏或遵守相应的准则的,根据此来对比考察男女在谈话策略方面的特点。通过研究,作者认为男女语言使用差异主要为：一、女性角色讲话时更倾向于使用强势词,语气助词以及带有夸张意味的形容词；二、女性角色比男性更喜欢使用闪避语和附加问句来表示对对方的礼貌。三、女主人公喜欢用诸如“啊、哦、呃、哇”等感叹词来表达她们的强烈感情。与女性相比,男性的话语则更加直接和简洁,较少的表露强烈的感情。而从语用角度分析发现,女性平常都能对对方的提问做出充分的,相关的回答,从而遵守合作原则。男性则对对方的提问往往因为各种原因而不能做出适当回答,经常地违反合作原则。体现出女性在言语交际中比男性更加合作的态度。
[Abstract]:A large number of studies have shown that gender factors affect people's speech acts in a specific way, while gender differences in language can affect people's transgender communication, and the study of gender language can help us to reduce communication barriers. To promote harmonious communication between the two sexes. In this paper, Emma is chosen as the research object. Jane Austen is good at promoting the development of the plot with dialogue description. There are a lot of characters dialogue in this novel from the beginning to the end. The discourse of characters in the novel can not only highlight the character characteristics of the characters, but also can be used as linguistic materials for linguistic research, which provides a lot of materials for the study of gender discourse in this paper. This paper studies the discourse of the protagonists and heroines in Emma from two aspects. The first is to explore the differences between men and women in the use of speech from the perspective of lexical, syntactic and other linguistic systems. The second is to analyze how the characters in the novel break or abide by the corresponding norms by using the politeness and cooperative principles in pragmatics, and then compare the characteristics of men and women in conversation strategies. The author thinks that the differences in language use between men and women are as follows: first, female characters tend to use strong words, modal auxiliary words and adjectives with exaggerated meanings when they speak; second, Female characters prefer to use evasive words and additional questions to show politeness to each other. Third, heroines prefer to express their strong feelings with exclamations such as "ah, oh, uh, wow." compared with women, Male discourse is more direct and succinct, showing less strong feelings. From a pragmatic point of view, it is found that women are usually able to make adequate and relevant answers to each other's questions. Men often fail to answer each other's questions due to various reasons and often violate the principle of cooperation, which shows that women are more cooperative than men in verbal communication.
