【摘要】：爱·摩·福斯特是20世纪英国文坛闻名遐迩的小说家和文学评论家，其小说创作成就堪与D. [Abstract]:Aimo Foster is a famous British novelist and literary critic in the 20th century. Lawrence, James Joyce and Virginia Woolf are comparable. Foster has written six wonderful novels in his life, of which Room of View is his most handy work. In addition, he is recognized as the first person to use the musical term "rhythm" in novel criticism, and thus provides a new path for novel criticism-novel rhythm. Since the publication of his critical works in 1927, Foster's position as a famous novel critic has been firmly established. His concept of novel rhythm is regarded by some critics as the most outstanding contribution to the art of fiction. The purpose of this paper is to make a more systematic and comprehensive study on the rhythm of the classic Room of visible scenery. Based on the concept of rhythm described by Foster in his novel, the second chapter explains the first type of rhythm "simple rhythm" in detail, while the second type of "complex rhythm" is discussed in chapter three. Simple Rhythm is presented in the novel in the form of key words, repeated images or extended symbols. The complex rhythm in the novel corresponds to the structural rhythm of the movement of characters and events. The fourth chapter is guided by the narratology theory put forward by Gerard Zenet, a famous French literary critic, in his book narrative discourse, focusing on the analysis of descriptive pauses and omissions. In particular, the rhythms of alternate narrative movements between "dramatic scenes" and "generalizations". Finally, it is concluded that one of Foster's most outstanding achievements and contributions as a novelist is his exquisite creation and unique appreciation of different types of rhythm, which undoubtedly deserves our close attention.
