女性主义视角下的汤亭亭《女勇士》研究

【摘要】：美国华裔女作家汤亭亭“回忆录式”作品《女勇士》于1976年出版后,受到美国主流社会读者的热烈欢迎。这部作品的受欢迎程度在美国华裔文学史上是空前的,从而使汤亭亭蜚声美国文坛,也使美国华裔文学受到美国主流社会的更多关注。汤亭亭不但受到广大读者的热烈欢迎,而且得到批评家和文学史家们的青睐。美国近来出版的文学史或文选无不对她的作品作出高度的评价。可以毫不夸张的说,华裔文学近年来在美国声誉日隆,与汤亭亭取得的文学成就密不可分。本论文从女性主义的视角,论析了《女勇十》中几位形态各异的华裔女性形象并对《女勇士》中所体现出来的女性主义思想进行了深入的探讨。从而得出,《女勇士表明了华裔女性意识的觉醒、摆脱男权社会的强烈愿望以及对男女平等的渴望,反映了在双重边缘压制下华裔女性更应该具有自尊、自立、自强的女性主义思想。引言部分介绍了汤亭亭及其代表性力作《女勇士》的有关情况,并对女性主义及本论文的研究意义做了一定的阐述。第一章从三个方面探析作者汤亭亭创作的写作意图,指出汤亭亭深受20世纪六七十年代美国民权运动、学生运动的影响、自身作为华裔女性的切身体会以及母亲的人生经历给了她巨大的启发,促使她创作出了在美国文学界、美国主流社会具有极大影响力的《女勇士》。第二章是对汤亭亭作品《女勇士》中所体现出来的女性主义思想的探讨。从女性意识的觉醒、寻求华裔女性的主体地位及文化融合三个方面对《女勇士》中所体现的女性主义思想进行了深入的分析,表明作者殷切地期望所有女性都应该具有自立、自强的女性独立意识。第三章对《女勇士》中的几位典型女性人物进行了细致的分析。通过把女性人物归结为两大类——即以无名女人和月兰为代表的依附于他人而生存的女性,以勇兰和“花木兰”具有自我独立精神生活的女性,探析了这两类女性人物的不同命运,不同的人生结局。从而指出,不论是男性还是女性,都应该清醒地意识到这一点,女性不是男性的附属品,而应该是具有完完全全女性独立意识、并且和男性完全平等的人类而存在的。结论部分总结指出,汤亭亭的《女勇士》是一部典型的女权主义杰作,作者塑造的几位女性人物的故事——“无名女人”、姨妈月兰、母亲勇兰以及美国式的花木兰——表达了被压抑的女性意识的觉醒,解析了父权制和种族主义双重压力下女性的生存处境。汤亭亭对华裔女性文化身份的归属与建构问题进行了思考,认为华裔女性被以男性、白人为中心的主流社会双重边缘化。对于美国白人主流社会的压抑,汤亭亭通过改写中国神话,颠覆了美国主流文化中的华裔女性刻板形象,重构了华裔女性的新形象,从文化融合中找到了突破之路。从女性主义视角看,《女勇士》的主题和现实意义都得到了更好的表现。
[Abstract]:The popularity of this work is unprecedented in the history of American Chinese American literature , so that the American literary world of Tang Ting - ting is more concerned with American mainstream society .

From the point of view of feminism , this paper discusses the female images of Chinese - American women who are different from each other , and deeply probes into the feminism thoughts embodied in the Woman Warrior . Thus , it is shown that the female warrior ' s consciousness of female consciousness , the strong desire to get rid of the patriarchal society and the desire to equality between men and women , reflect that Chinese - American women should have their own self - esteem , self - reliance and self - reliance on the double - edge pressing .

The introduction part introduces the situation of Tang Ting - ting Pavilion and its representative capacity as the warrior warrior warrior , and makes a certain exposition of feminism and the research significance of this thesis .

In the first chapter , the author analyzes the author ' s intention of writing from three aspects , points out that Tang Ting - ting is deeply influenced by the American Civil Rights Movement and the student movement in the 1960s and 1970s .
