多克托罗小说《拉格泰姆时代》中的多维史观

【摘要】：《拉格泰姆时代》(Ragtime,1975)是美国小说家E.L.多克托罗的第四部小说也是其代表作品之一。小说借由对生活在20世纪头十年的“白”、“黑”、“灰”三个家庭单位的描写展现了一段被称作“拉格泰姆时代”的历史,在这一过程中多克托罗表达了其对历史问题的思考。在《拉格泰姆时代》中作者通过音乐探讨历史,认为历史应以多声部的方式自由呈现,面对历史,人人都负有责任同时也享有权利,在后现代的语境下,应倾听每一个人的声音,树立一种多维的历史观念不仅是必要的,而且是必须的。本文由三部分组成。第一章主要探讨拉格泰姆这一音乐形式其聚合——离散式的音乐特质对于小说的语言风格,文本结构,情节展开等方面的深刻影响,以及作为全书的中心意象拉格泰姆音乐起到的隐喻历史的作用。第二章将结合文本总结小说中众多试图逃离历史掌控的人物分属的逃离类型并指出逃离者们失败的原因在于威权的阻挠以及更深层次的历史秩序的规训。第三章关注的是历史问题本身。长期以来我们独立理解历史的权利被剥夺了,大一统的历史观不仅制造了历史的迷思,而且酿成巨大灾难,因此有必要强调一种多维的历史观以期达成人与历史的动态平衡关系,从而实现人在历史中自由的最大化。
[Abstract]:Ragtime (1975) is an American novelist E. Doctorow's fourth novel is also one of its representative works. By describing the three family units that lived in the first decade of the 20th century, "White", "Black" and "Grey", the novel reveals a history known as the "Lagtam era." In this process, Doctorow expressed his thoughts on historical issues. In "Lagerham Age", the author explores history through music, and holds that history should be presented freely in a multi-voice manner. In the face of history, everyone has the responsibility and the right, in the post-modern context. It is not only necessary, but also necessary, to listen to everyone and to establish a multi-dimensional concept of history. This paper consists of three parts. In the first chapter, the author mainly discusses the profound influence of Ragtam's agglomeration and discrete musical characteristics on the language style, text structure and plot development of the novel. And as the central image of the book, Ragtime music plays the role of metaphorical history. The second chapter summarizes the escape types of many characters who try to escape the historical control in the novel and points out that the failure of the escapees is due to the obstruction of authoritarianism and the discipline of the deeper historical order. The third chapter focuses on the history itself. For a long time we have been deprived of our right to understand history independently, and a unified view of history has not only created a myth of history, but has also led to great disasters. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize a multidimensional view of history in order to achieve the dynamic balance between man and history, so as to maximize human freedom in history.
