[Abstract]:As a living literary myth, Ross is a prolific writer and has won almost all literary awards. His work, "the plot against America", was published in 2004, at a time when the events of 9 / 11 in the United States presidential election were still unsettled, and the novel attracted great attention and endless association. The novel was named one of the top ten works of 2004 by the New York Times. This paper attempts to analyze the anti-American conspiracy from the perspective of new historicism. The first chapter introduces the domestic and foreign studies of Ross and his works "the plot against America", pointing out that the study of his works began to focus on the social and cultural significance of his works. On the other hand, the research on Ross and his works is still a hot spot in foreign academic circles. Chapter two analyzes Ross's view of history from two aspects. First of all, it introduces three historical novels of Ross, American trilogy, and points out the historical view that Ross shows in these three novels. Secondly, it shows from three aspects that it is feasible to use the new historicism theory to analyze the "conspiracy against America": first, to briefly state the difference between the old and the new historical views; second, This paper discusses the anti-American plot as a fictional historical text. Thirdly, it discusses that the novel is the achievement of Ross as a new historicist practitioner. According to the above analysis, it is found that Ross's view of history is similar to that of new historicism. The third chapter uses the new historicism theory to analyze the anti-American conspiracy. First of all, the theoretical origin, characteristics and five hypotheses of the theory are briefly stated, and then the text of history and the history of text are analyzed concretely through the works of Montoulos. By analyzing the main characters in his works, Philip, Herman, Sandy, Jewish rabbi and Evelyn, the historical framework of Roth's small history and novel is constructed by using the textual nature of history. Using the historical nature of the text, this paper combines the social and political background of Ross's novels with the novel creation, and points out that the novel creation is obviously influenced by the social and political environment at that time. This includes racism in American society and the Bush administration's human rights violations after 9 / 11. The fourth chapter analyzes the rhetoric in the anti-American conspiracy from the perspective of New historicism. First, the new historicism is replaced by cultural poetics to emphasize the emphasis of the theory on language analysis, thus naturally leading to two prominent rhetorical devices in the novel, metaphor and satire. The conclusion of the fifth chapter emphasizes the important literary status of Ross again, and explains the position of "the plot against America" in the stage of his creation. Finally, it points out the realistic significance of the novel.
