《儿子与情人》中女性的觉醒

【摘要】：大卫·赫伯特·劳伦斯是21世纪英国极富争议但最具影响的作家,被称为“英国文学史上最伟大的人物之一”。他一生中创作了许多优秀作品,半自传体小说《儿子与情人》便是其中之一。在过去,大多数学者往往集中于其“俄狄浦斯情结”,用精神分析的方法研究保罗和其母亲的畸形关系;其他批评家则注重研究劳伦斯对于工业化弊端以及人性异化的批判。随着时代的发展,女性主义批评家也对《儿子与情人》进行了研究,但他们大多数都集中于分析小说中女性在父权社会中的悲剧命运而没有关注女性的觉醒意识。 本篇论文避开传统的分析方法,试图从女性主义的视角解读《儿子与情人》,进而指出小说中女性的觉醒。通过分析,不难看出劳伦斯对于女性主义运动的支持。本文中提到了女性主义的两个关键词：父权制和他者。男性在社会中占有绝对统治地位,女性总是处于被支配和低级地位。父权制社会中,女性的身份总是与绝对权威的男性联系起来。小说中的三位女主人公莫瑞尔太太,米莉亚姆和克莱拉都是生活在父权社会中的女性,她们在各自的家庭中都过着悲惨的生活,充当着家庭主妇,母亲等单调的角色,同时被父权制社会中的男性所统治甚至欺凌。但是她们却没有放弃反抗和斗争,她们都具备着“新女性”的特征：独立,勇敢,坚强。本文作者首先分析了三位女性在家庭和社会中的悲惨地位和遭遇,接着探讨了她们的觉醒意识和斗争行为。论文最后,进一步指出女性的觉醒是当时的女性主义运动,工业化的毁灭性作用和父权制的衰落共同作用之下产生的结果。 本文在回顾前人研究的基础上,用女性主义的视角分析《儿子与情人》中的三位女性形象,指出女性正以新形象觉醒并且具有了独立的自我意识。通过分析,劳伦斯对于女性的态度也清晰的展示出来---他不是一位男子沙文主义者而是一位女性主义运动的支持者。同时,小说中女性的觉醒也对今天的女性主义运动有着深远的影响。
[Abstract]:David Herbert Lawrence is one of the most controversial and influential British writers in the 21st century. In his life, he created many excellent works, half-autobiographical novel "son and lover" is one of them. In the past, most scholars focused on his Oedipus complex and studied Paul's abnormal relationship with his mother by psychoanalysis, while other critics focused on Lawrence's criticism of the malpractice of industrialization and alienation of human nature. With the development of the times, feminist critics have also studied son and lover, but most of them focus on analyzing the tragic fate of women in the patriarchal society without paying attention to the awakening consciousness of women. This thesis tries to interpret son and Lover from the perspective of feminism, and then points out the awakening of women in the novel. Through analysis, it is not difficult to see Lawrence's support for the feminist movement. Two key words of feminism are mentioned in this paper: patriarchy and otherness. Men occupy an absolute dominant position in society, and women are always in a dominant and inferior position. In patriarchal society, the identity of women is always associated with absolute authority of men. The three heroines in the novel, Mrs. Morell, Miriam and Clara, are all women living in a patriarchal society. They are all living miserable lives in their families, playing monotonous roles such as housewives and mothers. At the same time by the patriarchal society of men ruled or even bullied. But they did not give up resistance and struggle, they all have the characteristics of "new women": independence, courage, strong. The author first analyzes the tragic position and experiences of three women in the family and society, and then discusses their consciousness of awakening and struggle behavior. Finally, it is pointed out that the awakening of women is the result of the feminism movement, the destructive effect of industrialization and the decline of patriarchy. On the basis of reviewing the previous studies, this paper analyzes the three female images in "son and lover" from the perspective of feminism, and points out that women are awakening with new images and have independent self-consciousness. Through analysis, Lawrence's attitude toward women is also clearly demonstrated-he is not a man chauvinist but a supporter of feminist movement. At the same time, the awakening of women in the novel also has a profound influence on the feminist movement today.
