《魔戒》的异化主题分析

【摘要】：J.R.R.托尔金的《魔戒》三部曲,自出版之日起,一直受到社会各界的广泛关注。作家本人的神话理论和创作实践,深刻影响了20世纪西方文化。小说《魔戒》三部曲也被誉为“奇幻文学的始祖”,表达了评论者非常高的评价。本篇论文立足于作品分析,综合运用异化理论、原型批评、精神分析学、生态学批评等相关理论,通过分析三个霍比特人和魔戒的矛盾关系来探讨作品的主题思想。论文正文主要由三部分组成：第一章通过分析弗拉多等三个霍比特人在与魔戒接触中所发生的微妙的心理变化,来一步步展现魔戒对人的精神控制。从而指出魔戒对人的异化,实质上是魔戒在以一股邪恶的意识来影响并改变人的善良本性,使其逐渐丧失自我,而任由魔戒所左右。第二章主要从自我拯救和自然救赎两个方面来展现人性的复苏。魔戒对人的异化在小说中表现为人性向兽性的倾斜、下降。所以抗拒魔戒的异化,除了个体自我的良好道德品质外,充满神性力量的大自然也具有使人性复苏的力量。第三章从魔戒意象入手分析小说的主题思想。小说中,魔戒所代表的索隆那只欲望腾腾的眼睛,既象征了人对“物欲”的疯狂崇拜,又象征了代表专制统治的“主人精神”。无论是“物欲”的泛滥还是“主人精神”对自然的压迫和人性的扭曲,其实质都是工业文明背景下人类生存困境的真实写照。所以,弗拉多等人销毁魔戒的行动,表达的是对工业文明的质疑与批判。
[Abstract]:J.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy has been widely concerned since its publication. The writer's mythological theory and creative practice deeply influenced the western culture in the 20 ~ (th) century. The novel "Lord of the Rings" trilogy is also known as "the ancestor of fantasy literature", which expresses the very high opinion of the critics. This paper is based on the analysis of the works, synthetically applies the theories of alienation, archetypal criticism, psychoanalysis and ecological criticism, and analyzes the contradictory relations between the three Hobbits and the Lord of the Rings to discuss the theme of the works. The main body of the thesis consists of three parts: the first chapter through the analysis of Frador and other three Hobbit people in the contact with the Lord of the Rings in the subtle psychological changes to show step by step the Lord of the Rings to human mind control. It points out that the alienation of Lord of the Rings in essence is that the Ring influences and changes the nature of human kindness with a sense of evil and makes it gradually lose itself and let it be controlled by the Ring. The second chapter mainly shows the recovery of human nature from two aspects: self-salvation and natural salvation. The alienation of the Lord of the Rings in the novel is the inclination of human nature to beast. Therefore, to resist the alienation of the Ring, besides the good moral quality of the individual self, the nature full of divine power also has the power to revive human nature. Chapter three analyzes the theme of the novel from the image of Lord of the Rings. In the novel, the eyes of Solon, represented by the Ring of the Lord of the Rings, not only symbolize the crazy worship of "material desire", but also symbolize the "master spirit" which represents autocratic rule. Whether it is the flood of "material desire" or the oppression of nature and the distortion of human nature by "master spirit", its essence is a true portrayal of the plight of human existence under the background of industrial civilization. Therefore, Frador's actions to destroy the Lord of the Rings express the doubt and criticism of industrial civilization.
