雪莱诗歌中通感隐喻的认知研究

【摘要】：本文旨在对通感隐喻这一特殊的隐喻类型进行研究。作者从认知的角度探讨了通感隐喻，进一步分析并证实这一隐喻现象是否体现在人类的认知上。通感隐喻可以帮助人们从认知语言学这一不同的视角来正确认识世界并形成对世界的合理理解。长期以来，人们对通感隐喻一直抱有一种好奇心，国内外各个领域的专家学者也纷纷对此进行过研究。目前，通感隐喻已经成为一门很有发展前景的多学科研究课题。随着认知语言学研究的发展，通感不仅被当作一种修辞手段，而且也是人们从认知的角度进行思考和行动的基本模式，其特殊之处表现在它是两个或多个感官域之间的映射和迁移。雪莱是英国浪漫主义诗人中极具影响力和成就的代表之一，先前对于其诗歌的研究主要着重于诗中的主体和内容，而本文对其研究更专注于通感隐喻的认知机制本身。基于Fauconnier和Turner的概念整合理论，本文主要运用定性和定量的研究方法对雪莱诗歌中的通感隐喻进行了大量研究，其中深入探讨了如下几个问题： 1.在雪莱诗歌中，通感隐喻的表现形式主要分为哪几类？ 2.在雪莱诗歌中，通感隐喻迁移的总体趋势是如何体现的？ 3.在雪莱诗歌中，通感隐喻是如何构建的？本论文是由六个章节组成的。第一章是对本文的基本介绍，其中概述了研究的关键问题、方法、数据来源、研究意义和研究设计。第二章详细回顾了相关文献并指出以往的研究多关注于通感隐喻的认知共性，缺乏对其生成机制的研究。第三章是关于本论文的理论支撑的叙述，即Fauconnier和Turner的概念整合理论。第四章和第五章是本论文的主体部分。第四章从认知语言学的角度具体探讨雪莱的诗歌中的通感隐喻，包括主要的源域、主要的目标域、主要类型和映射的方向。基于上面提到的理论框架，第五章旨在阐释雪莱诗歌中通感隐喻的构建过程。第六章为结论部分，包括主要研究成果、不足之处和提出的建议。本文的主要研究成果可以归纳为以下几点： 1.本论文选取一些具有代表性的雪莱诗歌，经过统计数据得出雪莱诗歌通感隐喻的表现形式大致可以分为三类：以听觉为目标域的通感隐喻、以视觉为目标域的通感隐喻、从味觉到嗅觉的通感隐喻，多感官之间映射的通感隐喻。 2.在分类基础上，作者进行了更加深入的分析，认为雪莱诗歌中通感隐喻的迁移方向并不是随意的，，“向上迁移”是主要和普遍的迁移类型。 3.本文用概念整合理论阐释雪莱诗歌中通感隐喻的构建过程。因为概念整合理论包含着复杂的认知过程，它能够合理的解释一些新奇的、创造性的表达方式，所以概念整合理论能够更清晰的阐释通感隐喻的构建机制。
[Abstract]:The purpose of this paper is to study synaesthesia metaphor as a special type of metaphor. The author probes into synaesthesia metaphor from the cognitive point of view, and further analyzes and verifies whether this metaphorical phenomenon is embodied in human cognition. Synaesthesia metaphor can help people understand the world correctly from different perspectives of cognitive linguistics and form a reasonable understanding of the world. For a long time, people have been curious about synaesthesia metaphor, and experts and scholars in various fields have studied it. At present, synaesthetic metaphor has become a promising multi-disciplinary research topic. With the development of cognitive linguistics, synaesthesia is not only used as a rhetorical device, but also a basic mode for people to think and act from the perspective of cognition. It is unique in that it is the mapping and migration between two or more sensory domains. Shelley is one of the most influential and successful representatives of English Romantic Poets. Previous studies on his poems mainly focus on the subject and content of poetry, while this thesis focuses more on the cognitive mechanism of synaesthetic metaphor. Based on the conceptual integration theory of Fauconnier and Turner, this paper mainly studies the synaesthesia metaphor in Shelley's poetry by qualitative and quantitative methods, and probes into the following problems: 1. In Shelley's poetry, synaesthesia metaphors are divided into what kinds? 2. In Shelley's poetry, how does the general trend of synaesthetic metaphor transfer manifest? 3. How are synaesthetic metaphors constructed in Shelley's poetry? This paper is composed of six chapters. The first chapter is the basic introduction of this paper, which summarizes the key issues, methods, data sources, research significance and research design. The second chapter reviews the relevant literature and points out that previous studies focus on the cognitive commonness of synaesthetic metaphor and lack of research on its generation mechanism. The third chapter is a description of the theoretical support of this paper, that is, the conceptual integration theory of Fauconnier and Turner. The fourth and fifth chapters are the main part of this paper. Chapter four discusses the synaesthetic metaphor in Shelley's poetry from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, including the main source domain, the main target domain, the main types and the mapping direction. Based on the theoretical framework mentioned above, the fifth chapter aims to explain the construction process of synaesthesia metaphor in Shelley's poetry. The sixth chapter is the conclusion, including the main research results, deficiencies and suggestions. The main research results of this paper can be summarized as follows: 1. In this thesis, some representative Shelley poems are selected, and the statistical data show that the synaesthesia metaphors in Shelley's poems can be divided into three categories: synaesthesia metaphors with hearing as the target domain and synaesthesia metaphors with vision as the target domain. Synaesthesia metaphors from taste to smell, and synaesthesia metaphors from multiple senses. 2. On the basis of the classification, the author makes a deeper analysis and thinks that the transfer direction of synaesthetic metaphor in Shelley's poetry is not random, and "upward migration" is the main and universal transfer type. 3. In this paper, Conceptual Integration Theory is used to explain the construction process of synaesthesia metaphor in Shelley's poetry. Because conceptual integration theory contains complex cognitive processes, it can reasonably explain some novel and creative expressions, so conceptual integration theory can explain the construction mechanism of synaesthetic metaphor more clearly.
