荒诞与存在—从萨特存在主义角度解读《终局》

【摘要】:塞缪尔·贝克特(1906-1989)是20世纪爱尔兰、法国作家,其创作的领域包括小说、评论、诗歌和戏剧,尤以戏剧成就最高。他是荒诞派戏剧的重要代表人物。1969年,贝克特被授予诺贝尔文学奖,获奖原因是他“以一种新的小说与戏剧的形式,以崇高的艺术表现人类的苦恼。” 相较于其小说创作,贝克特在戏剧方面的成就更为突出。他的第一部戏剧作品《等待戈多》使他从文坛上崛起,一夜成名。但是贝克特自己最钟爱的作品却是其1955年创作的戏剧《终局》。《终局》是一部只有四个人物的独幕剧。虽然《终局》的情节看似简单,但其荒诞的戏剧形式和支离破碎的语言使这部剧晦涩难懂。关于贝克特最出名的戏剧《等待戈多》,国内外的相关研究颇多,但是很少有学者对其作品《终局》进行过专门的系统研究。因此,通过分析《终局》的戏剧人物,情节,语言,布景,以及其他的戏剧因素,本文从萨特存在主义的角度对《终局》中人物的荒诞生存状态进行解读。通过分析剧中人物的四种非正常生存状态,本文指出自由意志对人在这个荒诞世界上存在的重要性。 除去文章开头的“介绍”和结尾的“结论”,本文共三个部分。介绍部分提供了关于贝克特,《终局》,萨特存在主义,和本文的背景资料。第一部分是文献综述,主要介绍了之前国内外的相关研究,以及本文的选题意义。第二部分介绍了萨特存在主义的相关哲学主张,以及其与贝克特的文学创作之间的关联性。第三部分探究了剧中人物的四种非正常存在状态,通过对人类痛苦的,无意义的,奴性的和异化的存在状态进行分析,本文强调了独立、自由意志对人类存在的重要性。结论部分对全文进行了总结,引发人类对自身存在状态进行反思。
[Abstract]:Samuel Beckett (1906-1989) was an Irish and French writer in the 20th century. Beckett was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969 for "expressing human suffering in a new form of fiction and drama with lofty art." Beckett's dramatic achievements are more prominent than his novels. His first play, waiting for Gordo, made him rise from literary life and become famous overnight. But Beckett's favorite work was his 1955 play, the final. It was a one-act play with only four characters. Although the plot may seem simple, its absurd theatrical form and fragmented language make it obscure. There are a lot of researches on Beckett's most famous play waiting for Gordo, but few scholars have made a special systematic study on his works. Therefore, by analyzing the dramatic characters, plot, language, setting, and other dramatic factors, this paper interprets the absurd living state of the characters from the perspective of Sartre existentialism. By analyzing the four abnormal living states of the characters in the play, this paper points out the importance of free will to the existence of man in this absurd world. Apart from the introduction at the beginning and the conclusion at the end, this article consists of three parts. The introduction section provides background information on Beckett, the end, Sartre Existentialism, and this article. The first part is a literature review, mainly introduces the previous domestic and foreign research, and the significance of this topic. The second part introduces Sartre's philosophy of existentialism and its relation with Beckett's literary creation. The third part explores the four abnormal existence states of the characters in the play. By analyzing the painful, meaningless, servile and alienated state of existence of human beings, this paper emphasizes the importance of independence and free will to the existence of human beings. The conclusion part summarizes the full text, and causes human beings to reflect on their existence state.
