[Abstract]:Jack London is the most critical realistic writer in the United States at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Call of the Wild is one of Jack London's most famous novels. Set in the vast, unexplored pristine wilderness of the frozen north of the United States, this work depicts a series of adventures after Buck, a pet dog living in the warm and comfortable South, was caught up in a gold dream. And after experiencing a thrilling encounter, it finally recovered its wild nature and became a wolf. At home and abroad, the study of call of Wild often focuses on naturalism and Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest to analyze Buck's fate. This paper analyzes Buck's character by using Jung's psychoanalysis theory, and analyzes the fundamental reasons why Buck changed from a pet dog to a wolf. This enables readers to understand more deeply the source of Buck's superior personality and the source of his inner fervor, and to further understand the sources of human hidden personality, so that we can have a better understanding of our spiritual world in the complicated world. This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the life of the writer Jack London, the call of the Wild and the literature review. Chapter two introduces Jung's theory of psychoanalysis, focusing on consciousness theory, individual unconscious theory and collective unconscious theory. The third chapter compares Jack London and Buck's life experience, compares their inner world, clarifies Buck's mapping to Jack London, and explains the feasibility of the theory. Chapter four focuses on the interpretation of Buck's image by Jung's psychoanalysis theory. The first part analyzes the embodiment of the theory of consciousness in Barker's personality, and explains the reasons why Barker produced different consciousness in different stages. The second part analyzes the theory of individual unconsciousness in Buck's personality. Finally, it analyzes the embodiment of collective unconscious theory in Barker's personality, and analyzes in detail the personality mask archetypes, shadow archetypes and self-nature archetypes in Barker's personality. Chapter five summarizes the full text. It is pointed out that whether as a pet dog or as a sled dog, Buck has a super talent. He can adapt quickly to the environment and become a leader dog, not just because of the surrounding environment. More affected by the collective unconscious. Under the pressure of cruel society at that time, just as Jack London finally chose to end his life, Buck chose to leave human society, return to the wild, and complete the difficult process of self-transformation.
