双角色人物模式的原型移位与二十世纪美国文学

近几年原型批评在国内进行得轰轰烈烈,除了介绍原型批评理论的文章经常见于各种期刊杂志之外,利用原型理论进行实践批评的文章也为数不少。但目前原型批评实践有一种倾向,即局限于单部作品里的人物、意象、叙事的原型分析。虽然这对于理解作品非常有帮助,但这种局部的、小范围的批评并不能发挥原型批评的优势。原型批评的最大特点是整体性批评。其集大成者诺斯洛普·弗莱就一再强调批评者要“向后站”,从整体上把握作品,并将作品放在一个更大的文学范围内,从共时性和历时性的角度考察作品与这一范围内的其他作品的关系,并对作品本身做出评价。 本篇文章旨在发挥原型批评的整体性优势,试图再往后站一点,不仅寻找二十世纪美国文学中几部作品的共同原型,还将它们对原型的移位方式与整个二十世纪的文学走向联系起来,思考它们运用和移位原型对于二十世纪文学主体的意义。 在二十世纪的多部美国文学作品中,如马拉莫德的《伙计》（1957）、斯坦贝克的《愤怒的葡萄》（1939）以及托尼·莫里森的《所罗门之歌》（1977）,有一个非常类似的有两个人物构成的人物模式,其中一个人物（弗兰克、汤姆、奶娃）在另一个人物（莫里斯、凯绥,彼拉多）死亡...
