生态批评视阈下莎士比亚的《暴风雨》

生态批评在人类面临环境恶化和生态危机的语境中应运而生。作为一种文学和文化批评,生态批评从深层生态学获得哲学基础,从社会生态学获得科学支撑,在人与自然关系这一主题的文学研究实践中,寻求消除人类中心主义、建构以天人合一为基础的新的人文主义精神。作为一部具有生态意识的文本,《暴风雨》中蕴含着莎士比亚对人与自然关系的探索,反映着人类自启蒙运动来所缺失的人与自然和谐相处的思考方式。 论文由引言、正文和结论三部分组成。引言部分包括:一、从历时的角度介绍文学批评上对《暴风雨》的研究状况;二、对生态批评进行全景白描式的介绍,涵盖其历史渊源、其与该亚假说(Gaia Hypothesis)的原型指涉以及其与深层生态学(Deep Ecology)的哲学关联;三、阐述《暴风雨》与生态批评在理论与实践上的内在联系。正文第一章论证了《暴风雨》中的孤岛像该亚假说中的雏菊世界(Daisyworld)一样,通过自我调节(self-regulation)维持着良好的生态平衡。然而,以普洛斯彼罗为代表的人类在岛上的一系列砍伐树木、恃强凌弱等行为破坏了岛上原有的和谐并最终引发了生态危机。第二章集中探究了岛上生态危机产生的...
