《白象似的群山》中的跨性别交际失误分析

  本文综合运用伯明翰学派话语分析、礼貌原则、合作原则和批评性语篇分析方法,对海明威的短篇故事《白象似的群山》中男女主人公的言语行为进行了分析,旨在揭示跨性别交际失误的产生过程及其潜在的社会文化因素。 本研究选取此故事中14段对话,从交际目的、方式及内容三方面入手进行分析男女主人公的言语行为,指出跨性别交际失误不仅是由于彼此言语行为的不同,也是由于彼此社会地位的差异导致的。同时,本研究总结了容易产生跨性别交际失误的区域和修复方法。女性方面,应该意识到自己在交际中的地位,并设法达到交际目的。同时,男性也需要根据不同的语境调整自己的话语风格。 此项研究有助于人们对日常交际的理解,从而减少交际失误的发生。女性应该学会运用交际策略,实现其交际目的。对《白象似的群山》中男女主人公言语行为的分析有助于人们更客观地理解文学语言,对文学欣赏具有一定的借鉴意义;在英语教学中,教师应当帮助学生们意识到语言使用的性别差异,提高其跨性别交际能力。
