【摘要】：儿童文学翻译虽然是文学翻译的一个组成部分，但因为其读者的特殊性而成为了一个重要却又未引起人们重视的一部分。由于儿童有限的认知能力和中西文化的差异，儿童文学翻译对译者来说是一项极具挑战性的工作。作为译者,首先必须相当了解儿童，了解儿童文学,因此本文以儿童文学为主题，从关联理论视角对儿童文学翻译进行探讨. 关联理论是由Sperber和Wilson(1986)提出的近年来备受瞩目的认知语用学理论，它从认知的角度揭示了人类语言交际是一个明示-推理的过程。关联理论认为人类有寻求关联的本能，，关联的程度取决于话语所具有的语境效果和处理话语时所付出的努力这两个因素。在交际过程中,交际双方都力求达到最佳关联,即通过付出最小的处理努力达到最大的语境效果。Gutt(1991)运用关联理论对翻译进行了专门研究，进一步发展了关联理论，提出了一些颇有见解的观点，比如翻译是语言的阐释性运用，并在此基础上提出了直接翻译和间接翻译两种翻译方法。这样一来，关联理论在翻译中的指导意义就应运而生了。 本文以关联理论及格特关联翻译理论为指导，通过对儿童文学翻译的实例进行对比和分析，总结归纳了译者在儿童文学翻译中应如何做，采取什么样的翻译策略才能确保目标语言能被译文读者理解和接受，使得译文达到最佳关联。首先研究了译者如何在儿童文学翻译过程中对作者的意图进行正确的推理，如何将作者的意图明示给读者，如何在翻译过程中追求最佳关联。然后分析了如何将格特的直接翻译和间接翻译方法应用于儿童文学翻译实践。
