210名健康成年人的人格特质与杏仁核和海马体积的相关性研究
[Abstract]:Objective in the field of neuroscience, some studies have shown that normal personality traits are associated with different brain regions in normal population. Previous studies on personality trait related brain structure focused on prefrontal cortex, medial orbital frontal cortex, cingulate gyrus and other brain regions, and rarely involved amygdala and hippocampus. The aim of this study was to explore the correlation between personality traits and amygdala and hippocampal volume. Methods 210 healthy adults were recruited by advertisement, 107 males (50.95%) and 103 females (49.05%), aged 21-60 years with an average age of (39.10 卤12.20) years. According to the age distribution, 210 subjects were divided into four age groups. The personality traits of the subjects were evaluated with the Big five Personality scale (NEO-FFI) and the State-Trait anxiety scale (STAI). Three dimensional brain MRI images were obtained by using the Philips Achieva3.0T MRI (MRI) system. The volume of amygdala and hippocampus were obtained by morphologic measurement of (VBM) based on voxel. Result 1. Trait anxiety was negatively correlated with amygdala and hippocampal volume. In group 2, trait anxiety was positively correlated with right amygdala volume. Female neuroticism was negatively correlated with amygdala and hippocampal volume, while male neuroticism had no correlation with amygdala and hippocampal volume. Female extroversion was positively correlated with amygdala hippocampal volume, while male extroversion had no correlation with amygdala and hippocampal volume. 4. In group 3, the openness of the right hippocampus was positively correlated with the volume of the right amygdala, while that of the male in the fourth group was positively correlated with the volume of the right amygdala. The compliance of the first group was positively correlated with the amygdala and hippocampal volume, while that of the third and fourth groups was negatively correlated with the amygdala and hippocampal volume. In the fourth group, there was a positive correlation between the rigor of the amygdala and hippocampal volume in the female, but no correlation between the rigor of the amygdala and the volume of the hippocampus in the male. Conclusion the personality traits of 210 healthy adults were correlated with amygdala and hippocampal volume, and there were significant gender and age differences between personality traits and amygdala and hippocampal volume.
