[Abstract]:Objective: to investigate the characteristics of static balance and its correlation with physical activity in adults in Shanghai. Methods: 10220 adults from Shanghai National physique Monitoring Adult Bank in 2010 were selected to analyze the characteristics of static balance ability of adults in Shanghai according to their sex and age and the correlation between static balance ability and physical activity. Results (1) there were significant differences in static balance ability among adults of different age groups (P 0.001). The balance ability showed an age-related decline trend. (2) the time of standing on one foot with closed eyes was associated with work-related physical activity, traffic related physical activity, and housework related physical activity. There was a negative correlation between the balance ability of male and female in static time physical activity, total physical activity and physical activity in the age group of 49 years old, and there was a negative correlation between the balance ability of male and female in the age group of 49 years old and the physical activity of work-related physical activity and static time physical activity. And leisure time physical activity (physical exercise) positive correlation. Conclusion: the static balance ability of adults decreases with age. The physical activity of non-physical exercise can reduce the static balance ability of adults, and physical exercise can delay the decline of the static balance ability caused by the increase of age.
