立法英语语义模糊探析

【摘要】：本文通过定性、定量两种方法探讨立法英语的语义模糊性。并通过分层抽样的方法抽取了《儿童权利公约》和《中华人民共和国婚姻法》(英文版)为研究对象,对立法英语中形容词、动词、名词和副词语义模糊性进行分析和研究。研究表明,语义模糊广泛存在于各种词类中,立法英语无法避免其语义模糊性。最后本文探析了立法英语中模糊语义存在的根源。
[Abstract]:This paper explores the semantic fuzziness of legislative English by qualitative and quantitative methods. The semantic fuzziness of adjectives, verbs, nouns and adverbs in legislative English is analyzed and studied by stratified sampling of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Marriage Law of the people's Republic of China (English version). The research shows that semantic ambiguity exists widely in various parts of speech, and legislative English can not avoid its semantic fuzziness. Finally, this paper explores the root causes of the existence of fuzzy semantics in legislative English.
