刘小东作品的“剧场性”研究

【摘要】:“剧场性”是现代主义艺术批评体系中的一个重要组成部分,艺术作品是否具有“剧场性”主要体现在艺术家在创作中是否满足观众的观看需求。本文以刘小东作为个案研究对象,试着分析刘小东多种媒介作品的“剧场性”。文章主要分为三个部分进行阐述:第一部分从刘小东的“现场主义”艺术观的角度出发,分析刘小东绘画方式的转变,即从画照片到现场绘画这一变化的时间、原因、作品面貌等进行梳理,着重分析转变前后刘小东作品面貌上的变化;刘小东现场绘画的行为艺术化使得刘小东作品呈现多样性的面貌,即文字作品、摄影作品、影像作品、绘画作品等多种媒介作品;多样性的作品内容和形式丰富了观众的观看体验,同时刘小东对观众观看的考量使得其作品“剧场性”体验的产生具备了必然性。第二部分作为本文的重要章节,分两个层次先后详细探讨了刘小东作品内容和作品展示的“剧场性”,作品内容的“剧场性”从题材选取的话题性、作品中的人物眼神和姿态的刻意性等入手讨论作品内容体现出的剧场性;作品展示的“剧场性”则是从刘小东多媒介作品自身的“场”效应、展览空间营造的“剧场性”以及在展览空间中作品与观众的互动关系等三个方面进行讨论。第三部分通过对刘小东作品的“剧场性”思考,试着透过“剧场性”考量“艺术家—作品—观众”三者间的关系,试分析“剧场性”在创作实践中的现实意义。本文从“剧场性”理论角度对刘小东的多媒介作品、创作方式、展示方式等与观众的关系进行了深入探讨。“剧场性”主要体现在艺术家通过作品与观众产生何种关系,如果艺术家在创作过程中考虑到观众需求,通过作品内外的因素迎合或讨好观众,那么我们可以说作品是具有“剧场性”的,反之,如果艺术家仅仅专注于艺术品本身则不具有。“剧场性”往往在艺术家的创作与观众的需求之间动态游走,随着时代的变化,“剧场性”的判断标准也会随着艺术家和观众审美的变化而变化,“剧场性”的意义也就在于艺术家如何在创作的自主性和观众的需求之间保持平衡。刘小东作品“剧场性”产生的原因在于艺术家意识到了绘画的局限以及绘画对观众吸引力的减弱,所以将更多的媒介加入到原本的绘画创作中,以便吸引更多观众。刘小东作品的“剧场性”主要体现在两个方面,一是其作品内容包括题材选择、人物姿态等方面对观众的吸引;二是在作品展示中利用多种媒介本身的优点营造出“剧场”空间,并通过增加作品信息量、设置观看障碍、干预观众观看方式等手段与观众互动。
[Abstract]:"Theater" is an important part of modernist art criticism system. Whether the art works are "theatrical" is mainly reflected in whether the artist satisfies the audience's viewing needs in the creation. This paper takes Liu Xiaodong as the case study object. Try to analyze the "theatricality" of Liu Xiaodong's various media works. The article is mainly divided into three parts: the first part analyzes the transformation of Liu Xiaodong's painting style from the point of view of Liu Xiaodong's "live doctrine" art view. Namely from the picture to the scene painting this one change time, the reason, the work appearance and so on carries on the combing, emphatically analyzes before and after the transformation Liu Xiaodong's work appearance change; The artistry of Liu Xiaodong's live painting makes Liu Xiaodong's works take on a variety of features, such as text works, photography works, image works, painting works and other media works. The diverse content and form of the works enrich the viewing experience of the audience. Meanwhile, Liu Xiaodong's consideration of audience viewing makes the production of "theatrical" experience of his works inevitable. The second part is an important chapter of this paper. In two levels, the author discusses in detail the content of Liu Xiaodong's works and the "theatricality" of his works. The characters' eyes and gestures in the works are deliberately discussed, while the "theatricality" displayed in the works is based on the "field" effect of Liu Xiaodong's multi-media works. The third part discusses the "theatricality" of Liu Xiaodong's works and the interaction between the works and the audience in the exhibition space. This paper tries to analyze the practical significance of "theater" in creative practice by considering the relationship between "artist, work and audience" through "theater". This paper analyzes Liu Xiaodong's multi-media works and ways of creation from the perspective of "theater". "Theater" is mainly reflected in the relationship between the artist and the audience through the work, if the artist takes into account the needs of the audience in the process of creation, By pandering to or courting the audience through the factors inside and outside the work, we can say that the work is "theatrical," whereas, "Theater" often moves between the artist's creation and the audience's needs. With the change of times, the judgment standard of "theatricality" will also change with the change of artist and audience's aesthetics. The meaning of "theatrical" lies in how the artist keeps level between the autonomy of creation and the needs of the audience. The reason for Liu Xiaodong's work "Theater" lies in the artist's awareness of the limitations of painting and the weakening of its attractiveness to the audience. Therefore, more media will be added to the original painting in order to attract more audience. The "theater" of Liu Xiaodong's works is mainly reflected in two aspects, one is that the content of his works includes the choice of themes. The attraction of characters to the audience; second, the use of the advantages of a variety of media to create a "theater" space in the exhibition of works, and by increasing the amount of information in the work, setting up a viewing barrier. Interacts with the audience by intervening in the way they watch.
