Web2.0环境下高校图书馆学科馆员角色研究

【摘要】:学科馆员作为高校图书馆和对口院系的联络人,起到了不可或缺的桥梁作用,因此研究其角色定位、探究其相应职责对提高学科馆员的工作效率和图书馆的服务质量具有重要意义。随着学科馆员制度在我国发展了10余年的历程,学科馆员的职责发生了新的变化,特别是应对网络环境而发生的新变化:用户信息环境如Google等搜索引擎带来的威胁;用户信息需求的变化,其对知识需求的渴望而知识却常常遗失在大海中;泛在图书馆概念的出现等等,这些都对图书馆和学科馆员提出了新的挑战。学科馆员角色处于不断变化发展中,特别是随着Web2.0技术越来越广泛的应用于图书馆信息服务,学科馆员角色呈现出某些新特征。学科馆员角色随着信息环境、用户信息行为的变化以及学科化服务的深化而不断丰富,并注入新的内涵。因此只有对学科馆员的角色重新进行定位,才能保证学科馆员制度持续、健康发展。 本文首先回顾了美国、英国、德国、韩国和我国高校图书馆的学科专业化进程,在此基础上总结出高校图书馆学科馆员传统角色——文献资源的发展者、学科信息的联络员、文献利用的指导者和对口学科的咨询馆员。 接着本文探讨了高校图书馆学科馆员角色转变的背景——Web2.0环境下用户信息获取方式、信息需求的新特征以及Web2.0相关技术在学科馆员工作中的应用。用户信息需求的变化和Web2.0技术的应用为学科馆员角色的转变提供了条件,一方面高校用户的信息需求在Web2.0环境下朝易用性、多样性、参与性、个性化、知识化和准确性发展;另一方面高校用户的信息获取方式目标引导和偶得借助于Web2.0工具得以实现,且Web2.0技术应用于学科馆员的传统职责中给学科馆员带来了极大便利,学科馆员新角色应运而生。 然后,文章以网络环境下明尼苏达大学和上海交通大学图书馆为例,详细介绍了其学科馆员目前的角色。明尼苏达大学图书馆在“图书馆员职位描述框架”的基础上构建了学科馆员的十大新角色,包括:校园参与、馆藏发展、教和学、学术交流、E-Scholarship和数字化工具、参考咨询服务、延伸服务、筹措资金、展览及活动策划、领导角色。上海交通大学图书馆学科馆员现今的工作侧重于学科资源保障体系发展、创新交流和互动社区、全方位学科咨询、走进院系和融入学科、信息素养教育、个性化信息服务。通过对国内外两所高校学科馆员新角色的研究,得出了学科馆员传统角色的新升华,及重视开放存取资源建设和推广的结论。 Web2.0的环境特征和高校用户的新需求决定了学科化服务朝着主动参与、深入过程和合作的方向发展。学科馆员角色呈现以下特征:将最新技术应用于图书馆;从服务提供者转向学术合作伙伴;更高的馆员技能和素质要求。因此本文对学科馆员的角色进行了新的定位:学科数据管理者,信息素养教育者,教学支撑专业人员,高校科研支撑人员。学科馆员的新角色充分体现了融入用户、嵌入服务学科的特性,是Web2.0技术应用于学科馆员工作的产物。最后,本文对学科馆员的角色进行了展望,提出学科馆员作为参与者、中介和聚合者、技术传播者的角色。
[Abstract]:Subject librarian, as the liaison person of University Library and counterpart department, has played an indispensable role in the bridge. Therefore, it is of great significance to study its role positioning and explore its corresponding responsibilities to improve the work efficiency of the subject librarian and the quality of the library service. With the discipline librarian system in China, it has developed for more than 10 years, the subject library New changes have taken place in the responsibilities of the staff, especially the new changes to the network environment: the threat of the user information environment such as Google, such as the search engine, the changes in the user's information demand, the desire for knowledge, and the loss of knowledge in the sea; the emergence of the library concept, and so on, all of these are to the library The role of the subject librarian is a new challenge. The role of the subject librarian is in constant change and development, especially with the more and more extensive application of Web2.0 technology to the library information service. The role of the subject librarian presents some new features. The role of the subject librarian changes with the information environment, the change of the user's information and interest, and the deepening of the subject service. In order to ensure the continuous and healthy development of the subject librarian system, we must constantly enrich and inject new connotations.
This paper first reviews the course of discipline specialization of University Libraries in the United States, Britain, Germany, Korea and China. On the basis of this, it summarizes the traditional roles of the subject librarians in the university library, the developer of the literature resources, the liaison officers of the subject information, the guide of the literature use and the consulting librarians of the interdisciplinary subjects.
Then this paper discusses the background of the role transformation of the subject librarians in the University Library - the way of user information acquisition under the Web2.0 environment, the new features of the information demand and the application of Web2.0 related technology in the work of the subject librarian. The change of user information demand and the application of Web2.0 Technology provide the conditions for the change of the role of the subject librarian. The information demand of university users in the Web2.0 environment is easy to use, diversities, participatory, individualized, knowledgeable and accurate. On the other hand, the target guidance of information acquisition methods for users of colleges and universities can be realized with the aid of Web2.0 tools, and Web2.0 technology is applied to the subject librarians in the traditional responsibilities of the subject librarians With great convenience, the new role of the subject librarians came into being.
Then, taking the library of University of Minnesota and Shanghai Jiao Tong University in the network environment as an example, the article introduces the role of the subject librarian in detail. The University of Minnesota library has built ten new roles of the subject librarian on the basis of the "description frame of librarian position", including the campus participation, the development of the collection, the teaching and learning, and the study. Communication, E-Scholarship and digital tools, reference service, extension service, financing, exhibition and activity planning, leading role. The present work of the subject librarians of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University library focuses on the development of the system of subject resource protection, innovation and interaction and interaction, comprehensive subject consulting, entering the Department and integrating the subject, and the letter Interest literacy education, personalized information service. Through the study of the new roles of the two university librarians at home and abroad, the new sublimation of the traditional roles of the subject librarians and the conclusion of the construction and promotion of open access resources are given.
The environmental characteristics of Web2.0 and the new needs of university users determine the development of subject oriented services in the direction of active participation, in-depth process and cooperation. The role of the subject librarian presents the following characteristics: the application of the latest technology to the library; the transition from service providers to academic partners; higher Librarians' skills and quality requirements. The role of subject librarians is new orientation: subject data manager, information literacy educator, teaching support professional and university scientific research support personnel. The new role of subject librarians fully embodies the characteristics of integrating users into the subject of service, and is the product of the application of Web2.0 technology to the work of the subject librarians. Finally, this article is on the subject library The role of the subject librarian as a participant, intermediary and aggregator is put forward.
