【摘要】：正吴通英,1951年生,苗族,贵州省台江县施洞镇人。五岁开始学绣,至今已有五十余载绣艺生涯。师从母亲、邻亲及祖辈。熟练掌握苗族传统服饰的各种针织绣技,其绣品的题材多源于苗族古歌和民间传说故事。她先后在中国美术馆、中国历史博物馆等重要场馆举办苗绣作品展示。1996至1997年,先后受邀赴意大利、法国、美国等国家举行苗绣展览。1990至2011年,开办苗绣坊和苗绣工作室,培养苗族妇女学绣。2005年特聘为中国艺术研究院民间艺术创作研究员,2007年获得"省级非遗苗绣代表性传承人"称号,2012年11月获"国家级非遗苗绣代表性传承人"称号和"中国工艺美术大师"称号。其代表作苗绣盛装"九宝服",绣品"金银妈妈""开天辟地""铸日造月""姜央""蚕龙""蜘蛛龙""麒麟龙"等形成了具有浓郁地域特色的苗绣。
