绿色信贷、绿色声誉与银行绩效

【摘要】:在倡导绿色经济和社会可持续发展的背景下,绿色革命迅速在全球蔓延。以绿色信贷为主题的银行业改革与创新成为发展趋势。推行绿色信贷政策不仅肯定了商业银行对环境保护和资源配置的积极导向作用,而且也为银行可持续发展提供了依据和途径。银行的“绿色化”能否提高银行自身绩效,是绿色信贷政策能否得到有效落实的关键。 本文首先分析发展绿色信贷的动力。通过建立银行与政府的博弈模型,解析绿色信贷政策的出台背景;并对银行实施绿色信贷的损益进行分析,建立银行与企业的博弈模型,剖析商业银行实施绿色信贷的决策机理。分析指出,作为经济系统核心组成的金融机构的信贷决策对社会可持续发展目标的实现尤为重要;商业银行是绿色信贷的主体,作为局中人能否采取促成绿色信贷政策实施的决策,取决于高耗能、高污染企业与节能环保型企业这两类银行贷款企业的客户价值。 然后具体分析银行贷款企业的客户价值,,在此基础上分析银行实施绿色信贷这一经营决策如何生成绿色声誉,及绿色声誉的价值创造作用。结果显示,“两高”企业比节能环保型企业具有更高的客户当前价值。银行实施绿色信贷能否增加银行当期绩效,则取决于节能环保型企业口碑效应产生的潜在客户价值,即银行实施绿色信贷产生的绿色声誉对银行财务绩效的作用。 最后,本文基于社会影响假说、良好管理理论和利益相关者契约成本理论,提出研究假说。假设银行实施绿色信贷,将提升银行绿色声誉,改善与利益相关者的关系,进而增加其财务绩效。本文基于2007-2010年我国27家商业银行样本数据,实证检验银行实施绿色信贷生成的绿色声誉与银行绩效间的关系。实证研究表明银行绿色声誉与银行绩效正相关。因而银行实施绿色信贷不仅仅只是响应了政府政策,在履行社会责任的同时,也因其生成的绿色声誉提高了银行自身的财务绩效。故银行的理性决策是积极实施绿色信贷。 本文的主要贡献是:实证检验了实施绿色信贷生成的绿色声誉与银行绩效的相关性;强调了媒体报道对银行绿色声誉生成的重要性。
[Abstract]:Under the background of advocating green economy and social sustainable development, green revolution spreads rapidly in the world. Green credit as the theme of banking reform and innovation has become a trend of development. The implementation of green credit policy not only confirms the positive guiding role of commercial banks in environmental protection and resource allocation, but also provides a basis and approach for the sustainable development of banks. Whether the bank can improve its own performance is the key to the effective implementation of green credit policy. This paper first analyzes the development of green credit power. Through establishing the game model between the bank and the government, analyzing the background of the green credit policy, and analyzing the profit and loss of the bank implementing the green credit, the game model between the bank and the enterprise is established. This paper analyzes the decision-making mechanism of green credit in commercial banks. It is pointed out that the credit decision-making of financial institutions, which are the core components of economic system, is particularly important to the realization of the goal of social sustainable development, and that commercial banks are the main body of green credit. Whether people in the bureau can take the decision to promote the implementation of green credit policy depends on the customer value of the two types of bank loan enterprises, such as high energy consumption, high pollution enterprises and energy saving and environmental protection enterprises. Then, the customer value of bank loan enterprises is analyzed in detail, and on this basis, how to create green reputation and the value creation function of green reputation are analyzed. The results show that the two-high enterprises have higher customer current value than energy-saving and environmental-friendly enterprises. The effect of green credit on bank financial performance depends on the potential customer value generated by the word-of-mouth effect of energy-saving and environment-friendly enterprises, that is, the effect of green reputation on bank financial performance. Finally, based on the social impact hypothesis, good management theory and stakeholder contract cost theory, this paper puts forward the research hypothesis. If banks implement green credit, they will enhance their green reputation, improve their relationship with stakeholders, and then increase their financial performance. Based on the sample data of 27 commercial banks in China from 2007 to 2010, this paper empirically tests the relationship between green reputation and bank performance. Empirical research shows that bank green reputation is positively correlated with bank performance. Therefore, the implementation of green credit not only responds to the government policy, but also improves the bank's financial performance because of its green reputation. Therefore, the rational decision of banks is to actively implement green credit. The main contributions of this paper are as follows: the paper empirically tests the correlation between green reputation and bank performance and emphasizes the importance of media reports on the green reputation generation of banks.
