过度社交网站使用和平庸的学习成绩:技术前因,后果以及影响

社交网站(社交网站)是基于网络的服务,它允许个人(1)在有界系统内构建公开或半公开的个人信息,(2)与好友列表里的朋友保持联系,以及3)查看和遍历系统中其他人所建立的连接列表。一些社交网站比如Facebook和Twitter已经成为互联网上流行的手机社交应用,这些网站现在成为世界上最流行的社交网站。社交网站提供商已经引入了移动应用程序,移动无线设备提供的无处不在的访问导致社交网络通过移动应用程序的使用迅速增加。便携式设备的使用激增意味着个人越来越自由和灵活地随时随地参与社交网站。虽然这些设备具有很多积极的功能,但它们也会带来负面的影响,例如过度参与移动社交网站。过度使用基于手机的社交网站可能会导致强迫性行为的出现,从而导致压力,消极的社会和工作影响。而且,大量的研究表明社交网站的使用是个人压力的来源。但是,社交网站如何,怎样创造压力并不十分清楚。以前从教育角度对社交网站进行的研究主要是描述性的,侧重于社交网站的采用和继续使用的动机,但如果不考虑关于在教育信息系统研究中其产生的负面结果的事实,研究一些便不够完整了。现有研究对这些网站的不利后果及其对用户学习成绩的影响非常的少见。我们基于文献管理信息系统,心理学,教育和职业压力等因素,构建了一个模型来研究过度使用移动社交网站对学习成绩产生负面影响的机制。我们的研究试图通过研究大学本科学生中社交网站的使用来部分解决文献中的空缺,特别是基于这些类型的网站使用成为问题或成瘾的背景。我们研究的目的是通过调查分析出一些可能会产生过度使用因素,包括社交,社会比较,享受,信息搜寻和自我呈现,来确定移动社交网站的问题可能会如何发展。应力交易模型(TMS)用于将技术特征理论化为应激源(即过度使用)的先兆。应力-应变-结果(SSO)被用作模型的基础,其代表过度使用(压力源),生活入侵,技术枯竭和认知分心(应变)和学业成绩(后果)。利用自我调节理论和双系统理论等辅助理论对所提出的模型进行了进一步细化,并分别考察了睡眠质量差和认知行为控制的调节作用。我们用设计调查问卷的方法来测试所提出的研究模型。该研究收集了来自普通移动社交网站应用用户的505个问卷,其中包括Facebook,Twitter和WhatsApp等众所周知的社交网站应用的用户。基于协方差的SEM技术被用于通过建立测量模型和结构模型的估计的两步过程来估计研究模型。数据分析表明,技术特征导致过度使用移动社交网站,这会导致生命入侵等负面后果;技术枯竭和学生认知分散,从而降低了社交网站用户的学习成绩。使用社交网站的认知行为控制弱化了这种关系以克服负面结果,而差的睡眠质量则加强了压力源和应变层面之间的关系这项研究提供了重要的理论和实践意义。之前大多数关于有问题的社交网站使用的研究仅将成瘾或有问题的使用作为包括多种症状的综合病理学概念来解决。它们的重点是澄清这些概念并为诊断目的开发测量模型。而我们的研究采用了一种基于机理的方法,并且是首先通过调查其负面后果来检查有问题的社交网站应用程序的使用。这项研究整合了不同的理论视角,提供了一个新的经验验证模型,可以指导未来的研究。这些结果为家长,员工,教师,社交网站提供商和用户提供了有关过度使用社交网站应用程序的潜在不良后果的信息。这项研究也有助于研究信息系统的不良影响。
