《庇护下的生活》（节选）汉译实践报告

　　本翻译材料选自美国南方女作家艾伦·格拉斯哥1932年出版的小说《庇护下的生活》中的第一章。该小说被誉为艾伦·格拉斯哥“最动人、最具穿透力的小说”,它深刻反映了美国旧南方社会是如何受到工业化的冲击、又是如何分解的,对美国文学乃至世界文学产生了深远的影响。H.R.姚斯和W.伊泽尔的接受美学理论发端于20世纪60年代的德国,该理论认为文学作品的本文只能提供一个多层次的结构框架,其中留有许多未定点,其中,“意义空白”是接受美学的一个重要概念。本文以接受美学理论为指导,从意义空白的角度探讨《庇护下的生活》词汇、句法、语篇等方面的特点,同时分析译者在翻译过程中遇到的问题,如因一词多义、词义缺乏、中英文化差异或黑人英语的使用而造成原文本的意义空白。在词汇、句法及语篇层面,本文列举了形容词、动词、名词、黑人英语、简单句、复合句及衔接与连贯方式等方面的意义空白以及相应的解决办法,即意义空白填补机制。本文以小说《庇护下的生活》为研究对象,以接受美学理论为指导,探讨了相关的翻译策略,如意译、释译、异化翻译、归化翻译等,译者希望此文可以为研究文学翻译的学者贡献微薄力量。
