设计城市,设计学院——宾大传统的重生与改革纵横谈
[Abstract]:The central task of urban design is to conceive the future of a city's built environment. Design theory can also have an important impact on a college, as powerful as neighborhoods and streets affect urban life. In this article, the author records his career in designing cities and designing academic courses at planning colleges. The connection between reconstruction planning practice and college education is the basic strategy to create more valuable urban design knowledge and theory. Most of the learning process is realized through persuasive cases and reflection on their successes or failures. Design is also a collaborative activity around a vision that inspires team action. Nowadays, both planning educators and planning practitioners are faced with new challenges, including the knowledge needs of global practice and the need to master development practice through expanding the planning horizon. They can also benefit from cross-disciplinary boundaries and observations across national boundaries.
