5-6岁儿童数学兴趣与数学能力关系的研究

【摘要】:兴趣及其对个人发展的重要作用逐渐被关注,兴趣对注意过程、学习质量、组织策略、成就目标等均有积极影响。儿童中小学时的数学兴趣与个体的数学能力相关,并能预测个体未来的数学学业成就和大学专业选择(SteinmayrSpinath,2009;ColleenSarah,2016;Doctoroff,FisherBurrows,2016)。因此,探讨学龄前儿童早期数学兴趣对早期数学能力的影响,厘清两者之间的关系十分重要。本研究的目的为考察5-6岁儿童数学兴趣与数学能力的关系,探讨儿童早期数学兴趣的测查方法。研究抽取了上海市长宁区两所一级幼儿园的7个大班共164名儿童进行测查。数学能力的测查采用Ginsberg和Broody(2003)开发的儿童早期数学能力测验(Test of Early Mathematics Ability-Ⅲ,简称TEMA)。数学兴趣的测查在Arnold和Fisher研究的基础上,同时采用三种方法测查儿童的数学兴趣,分别是儿童数学兴趣自评、教师评定量表、游戏中的数学兴趣观察法。研究运用描述性统计分析了 5-6岁儿童数学能力与数学兴趣的表现特点。运用一元方差分析分析了数学能力和数学兴趣的年龄、性别、数学能力分组差异。运用相关分析分析了数学兴趣与数学能力的关系以及三种不同方法测查的数学兴趣之间的关系。运用回归分析分析了数学兴趣对数学能力的预测作用。运用因素分析探讨了三种不同的兴趣测查方法的可靠性,尝试探索早期兴趣测查的有效指标,分析三种不同测查方法的优势与不足。研究结果显示:1.运用TEMA测查的5-6岁儿童数学发展水平良好。2.运用本研究中三种方法测查的5-6岁儿童早期数学兴趣总体处于中等偏上水平。其中儿童自我对数学兴趣的评价最高,教师评定的儿童数学兴趣其次,观察评定的儿童数学兴趣得分最低。3.5-6岁儿童数学能力、数学兴趣总分和各分项,均没有显著的性别差异。4.5-6岁儿童早期数学兴趣与数学能力存在极显著的中等程度的正相关。但儿童自评数学兴趣与数学能力的相关不显著。与数学能力相关性最高的是兴趣观察中的目标导向性。5.教师评定及观察评定的儿童数学兴趣对数学能力具有极显著的预测作用,其中预测力度最大的是兴趣观察中的目标导向性。6.5-6岁儿童的数学能力分组对教师评定、兴趣观察评价的数学兴趣有显著影响,但儿童自评数学兴趣没有显著的分组差异。低分组、平均组、高分组的儿童的数学兴趣各分项表现(除对游戏的自评兴趣外)呈递增趋势。7.本研究中数学兴趣自评法、观察获得的游戏时间指标对学龄前儿童兴趣评定的适用性不高。教师评定和兴趣观察可能是更加客观的评价形式。同时,兴趣测查建议在更加真实的环境中进行。
