李铭银行思想与实践研究

【摘要】：Li Ming is extremely important on the stage of both modern Chinese financial history and banking history. He has been severed as the general manager and the chairman of the board of Chekiang Industrial Bank, member and chairman of Shanghai Bankers Association, the chairman of the Bank of China, director of Bank of Communication, all of which were important positions in financial markets. He was the most illuminating person who held deep influence in Yangtze River Delta between 1920 and 1930, established a close relationship with local government as well. He called for modernization of China banking all his lifetime, promoted to found the central bank in case to complete the banking system, initiated the crudity system in china banking area to ensure its healthy development. Though Li Ming made great contributions to China banking, people knew little about him. The essay has made a detailed study on his theories and practice, discussing from three aspects----theories of banking establishments, banking Specifications and banking managements. Li Ming ran the Chekiang Industrial Bank for over 50years, persuading for banking specialization、modernization and commercialization. He took challenges when he was served as a member of Shanghai Bankers Association to build a new institution in order to fit for the development of banking modernization. In all, Li Ming made a significant contribution to China banking area.
