中国省际城市规模分布演进的经济增长效应研究

【摘要】：本文从城市规模分布演进的角度研究中国省际经济增长的空间基础,发现省际城市规模的空间分布差异影响了地区经济增长。并利用1994-2013年中国省际动态面板数据,以经济赫芬达尔指数为核心指标,运用面板数据双向固定效应方法,实证检验了中国省际城市规模分布水平与经济增长的关系。实证结果表明,城市规模分布与人均GDP呈现较为明显的倒U型关系,表明在长期中城市规模水平的提升越过最优值后,反而不利于人均GDP的提升。这种非线性的关系,不仅能够佐证空间经济学中集聚经济在向心力和离心力的影响下不断消长的论断,也能为中国大城市的规模优化提供科学借鉴意义。
[Abstract]:This paper studies the spatial basis of inter-provincial economic growth in China from the perspective of the evolution of urban scale distribution. It is found that the spatial distribution difference among provinces affects the regional economic growth. Using the dynamic panel data of Chinese provinces from 1994 to 2013, taking the economic Huffendal index as the core index and using the panel data bidirectional fixed effect method, this paper empirically tests the relationship between the scale distribution level of Chinese provincial cities and the economic growth. The empirical results show that the relationship between urban size distribution and per capita GDP is inversely U-shaped, which indicates that the improvement of urban scale over the optimal value in the long run is not conducive to the increase of GDP per capita. This nonlinear relationship can not only support the conclusion that the agglomeration economy in spatial economics is growing and declining under the influence of centripetal force and centrifugal force, but also provide scientific reference for the scale optimization of large cities in China.
