认知能力与非认知能力对青年劳动收入回报的影响

【摘要】:本文探索了认知能力差异对收入的影响机制,比较了认知能力和非认知能力在决定收入上的作用大小。利用中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)2010、2012年两轮调查数据,检验了认知能力在解释收入上的作用。研究结果显示,以字词、数学、记忆和数字推理测验等方式测量到的认知能力对劳动力的工资性收入具有显著的正向作用,但绝大部分作用是通过教育来影响的,在控制教育之后,认知能力对收入存在微弱但显著的影响。进一步通过对受访者的非认知能力打分作为非认知能力的测量指标,纳入工资决定方程后,发现非认知能力能够显著解释劳动者的收入差异,并且这种解释能力独立于认知能力的作用。
[Abstract]:This paper explores the influence mechanism of cognitive ability difference on income, and compares the effect of cognitive ability and non-cognitive ability on determining income. Using (CFPS) 2010, two rounds of data from the Chinese Household tracking Survey in 2012, we examined the role of cognitive ability in explaining income. The results showed that cognitive ability measured by word, mathematics, memory and numerical reasoning test had a significant positive effect on the wage income of the labor force, but most of the effects were influenced by education. After controlling education, cognitive ability has a weak but significant effect on income. Further, the non-cognitive ability of the interviewees was rated as a measure of non-cognitive ability, and the wage determination equation was incorporated into the non-cognitive ability, and it was found that the non-cognitive ability could significantly explain the income difference of the workers. And this ability of explanation is independent of the function of cognitive ability.
