基于跨文化交际能力理论的《牛津高中英语》教材研究

【摘要】:随着文化间的理解与融合,跨文化交际正在世界范围内广泛进行着。当今的英语教学不仅要培养学生良好的英语语言能力,而且要求学生掌握语言所体现的文化内涵。提高跨文化交际能力。本文以教育部2012年《普通高中英语课程标准》为评价标准,对译林版《牛津高中英语》教材进行评估,目的在于检验其是否满足课程标准中关于跨文化交际能力培养目标的要求。本研究提出了两个研究问题: 1.译林版《牛津高中英语》教材涵盖了课程标准中要求的哪些跨文化特征?教材还有哪些不足之处? 2.译林版《牛津高中英语》教材在学生跨文化交际能力培养的哪些维度上的提高最显著? 本研究以拜拉姆(1997)构建的跨文化交际能力模式为指导,,通过文本分析对译林版《牛津高中英语》教材模块一到五的内容进行分析,探讨该教材涵盖了课程标准中要求的哪些跨文化特征。同时为进一步考察教材是否能够提高学生的跨文化交际能力,对来自湖南大学附属中学高二年级的200名学生进行了问卷调查。 文本分析和问卷调查的结果表明: 1.《牛津高中英语》教材涵盖了《普通高中英语课程标准》中所要求的跨文化特征,如英语国家文化知识,价值观念,中西方生活习惯差异等等。但仍然存在缺陷,主要表现在教材包含的英语谚语和典故较少,对英语国家的政治、经济情况以及大众传媒信息介绍的不足。 2.译林版《牛津高中英语》教材在很大程度上有助于学生的跨文化交际能力的培养。数据显示,教材在对学生跨文化态度和跨文化知识培养方面有显著作用,但是在跨文化技能和跨文化意识的培养上还有欠缺。 最后,本文就高中英语教材建设中如何体现跨文化特征以及如何培养学生跨文化交际能力等问题提出了相关的建议:教材可以适当的增加跨文化知识;教材可以增加有关跨文化特征的图片,使学生能更加直观的感受到跨文化特征。
[Abstract]:With the fusion of cultural understanding, intercultural communication is widely around the world. With the present English teaching should not only cultivate students' good English language ability, but also requires students to master the language reflects cultural connotation. To improve cross-cultural communicative competence. In this paper, the Ministry of education in 2012 < ordinary high school English curriculum standard for the evaluation criteria, to assess the Yilin Oxford senior high school English textbook version of < >, the purpose is to test whether it satisfies the requirements on the goal of cultivating the intercultural communicative competence of the curriculum standards. This study proposes two research questions:
The 1. edition of < > Yilin Oxford senior high school English textbook covers the curriculum standard which cross cultural characteristics of textbooks? What shortcomings?
What are the most significant dimensions of 2. version Yilin Oxford senior high school English textbooks in the < > the students' intercultural communicative competence training on improving?
In this study, Byram (1997) construction model of intercultural communicative competence as the guide, through the analysis of the text content of Yilin Oxford senior high school English textbook version < > five module to analyze, explore the textbook covers the curriculum standard which cross cultural characteristics. At the same time in order to further examine whether the materials can improve the cross cultural communication the ability of the students, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 200 students from senior grade high school affiliated to Hunan University.
The results of text analysis and questionnaire survey show that:
1.< Oxford high school English textbook covers "cross cultural > features required for" ordinary high school English curriculum standard, such as the English national cultural knowledge, values, Western lifestyle differences and so on. But there are still shortcomings, mainly in the textbook contains English proverbs and allusions in English speaking countries less political, insufficient the economic situation and the mass media information.
The 2. edition of < > Yilin Oxford senior high school English teaching can help students' intercultural communicative competence to a large extent. Data show that the material in the students' intercultural attitude and cross-cultural knowledge training has a significant role, but in the cultivation of intercultural skills and cross-cultural awareness there is still lacking.
Finally, this article on the construction of English Teaching in senior middle school how to reflect the cultural features and how to cultivate students' intercultural communicative competence and other issues and put forward relevant suggestions: teaching materials can be an appropriate increase in cross cultural knowledge; teaching materials can increase the cross-cultural features of pictures, so that students can be more intuitive feel of cross-cultural characteristics.
