【摘要】：《泰晤士报》创办于1785年，是英国全国发行的综合性日报，也是英国主流媒体之一，关注领域十分广泛，并且几乎在每个领域都有着良好的声誉。其报道风格十分严肃，报道内容也很详尽。其读者群主要包括政界、工商金融界和知识界的精英人士。《泰晤士报》不仅关注国内事务，也把触角伸向国际社会。19世纪下半叶到20世纪初，伴随着英国国力的强大，《泰晤士报》也向包括中国、日本在内的世界很多地方派驻记者，对相关国家进行报道。本文所利用的是1868年到1912年期间《泰晤士报》有关明治时期日本的报道，包括政治、经济、文化、社会、军事和外交等多个领域。《泰晤士报》对明治时期日本的社会变革与发展进行了详细而深入的报道，积极肯定日本社会各方面的进步，也批评日本社会中存在的落后状况。我们需要注意，，《泰晤士报》的相关报道并非完全准确，因此我们需要对这些报道进行分析，考证相关报道的真实程度。价值观因素和利益因素也影响了《泰晤士报》的相关报道。
[Abstract]:The Times, founded in 1785, is a comprehensive daily newspaper published nationwide and one of the mainstream media in the United Kingdom. It focuses on a wide range of fields and has a good reputation in almost every field. Its report style is very serious, the report content is also very detailed. Its readership mainly includes the elite in politics, business, finance and intellectual circles. The Times not only focuses on domestic affairs, but also extends its reach to the international community from the second half of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Along with the strength of Britain, the Times has also sent reporters to many parts of the world, including China and Japan, to cover the countries concerned. This article uses the Times from 1868 to 1912 to cover Japan during the Meiji period, including politics, economics, culture, and society. The Times has carried out a detailed and in-depth report on the social change and development in Japan during the Meiji period, positively affirming the progress of various aspects of Japanese society, and criticizing the backward situation in the Japanese society. We need to note that the Times reports are not entirely accurate, so we need to analyze them and verify the extent to which they are true. Values and interests also influenced the Times report.
