英汉同传中顺句驱动策略应用研究

【摘要】:英汉同声传译是当今世界政治、经济和文化领域的交流中较为广泛采用的一种口译形式,也是口译研究的重中之重。同声传译具有即时性、多任务性和高负荷性等特点,给译员带来了巨大的短时记忆和信息处理的压力,从而容易导致翻译滞后或漏译重要信息等问题。本文所探讨的顺句驱动策略要求译员最大限度地“容忍”原语的信息及意群结构和停顿,不作重大的结构调整,尽可能地“跟着原语走”,“照着原语译”,以更加省时省力地完成翻译任务,是差异大的两种语言之间进行同声传译的显著策略。 本文以韩礼德的主述位理论为理论基础,分析了英汉两种语言在句子主述位结构和语篇主述位信息推进模式上的相似性,从而充分论证了顺句驱动策略在英汉同声传译中应用的合理性。接着,作者总结自己的实践得出了顺句驱动策略在英汉同声传译进程中的具体应用技巧,即主述位及意群切分、主述位顺译、增译必要信息和重复必要信息等,并辅以实例进一步说明了顺句驱动策略的可行性,为口译学习者提供一定的参考。
[Abstract]:Simultaneous interpretation between English and Chinese is one of the most widely used forms of interpretation in the field of politics, economy and culture in the world, and it is also the most important part of the study of interpreting. Simultaneous interpretation has the characteristics of immediacy, multitasking and high load, which brings great pressure of short-term memory and information processing to the interpreter, which can easily lead to the problem of translation lagging or missing important information. The sentence-driven strategy discussed in this paper requires the interpreter to "tolerate" the information and semantic group structure and pause of the source language to the maximum extent, without making any significant structural adjustment, and to "follow the original language" and "translate according to the original language" as far as possible. To complete translation tasks in a more time-saving and labor-saving manner is a significant strategy for simultaneous interpretation between two languages. Based on Halliday's Theme-Rheme Theory, this paper analyzes the similarities between English and Chinese in terms of sentence thematic structure and discourse thematic information progression model. Therefore, the rationality of the application of sentence-driven strategy in English-Chinese simultaneous interpretation is fully demonstrated. Then, the author summarizes his own practice and concludes the specific application techniques of sentence driven strategy in the process of English-Chinese simultaneous interpretation, such as thematic and semantic group segmentation, thematic and rheme sequence translation, adding necessary information and repeating necessary information, etc. An example is given to illustrate the feasibility of sentence-driven strategy, which provides some reference for interpreting learners.
