多冲程Yb:YAG碟片激光器优化研究

【摘要】:经过多年的发展二极管泵浦全固态激光器(Laser Diode Pumped Solid-State Lasers,LDPSSL),以其优异的性能占领着激光器市场巨大的份额,其中,大功率LDPSSL中以碟片激光器和光纤激光器为两大主要热点研究方向。碟片激光器具有较小的热透镜效应、较高的输出功率、良好的光束质量、较高的光-光转换效率和功率可串联扩展等特点,在工业、国防、医疗等领域具有重要应用前景。课题组现有的24冲程碟片激光器,由于受泵浦光空间分布、多冲程泵浦耦合腔装调、晶体受激自发辐射(Amplified Spontaneous Emission,ASE)抑制等因素的限制,造成无法实现大功率泵浦光注入,从而导致激光器输出功率无法提升的问题。针对以上技术问题,论文开展了24冲程碟片激光器优化研究,实现了大功率连续激光输出,可以满足实际加工与科研应用的需求。基于朗伯-比尔定律,计算了多冲程下晶体对泵浦光的吸收效率;基于ABCD传输矩阵,计算了碟片晶体上泵浦光斑大小与准直系统焦距之间的变化规律;利用匀化棒整形法,对泵浦光进行了匀化整形,实现了碟片晶体上耦合泵浦光斑能量的均匀分布。在此基础上,研制了24冲程均匀泵浦大功率Yb:YAG碟片激光器。通过实验测试,对比分析了24冲程碟片激光器优化前后的出光性能。验证了优化方案的可行性。最终获得了中心波长为1030nm,功率219.9W的多模连续激光输出,光-光转换效率为33.4%,斜效率为40%,这一实验结果为今后研制千瓦级单碟片或多碟片串联激光器,奠定了理论和实验基础。
[Abstract]:After many years of development, laser Diode Pumped Solid-State Lasers-PSS laser has occupied a large share of the laser market with its excellent performance. Among them, the disc laser and fiber laser are the two main hot research directions in high-power LDPSSL.The disc laser has the characteristics of small thermal lens effect, high output power, good beam quality, high optical-optical conversion efficiency, and the power can be extended in series. It has important application prospects in the fields of industry, national defense, medical treatment and so on.Due to the spatial distribution of pump light, the configuration of multi-stroke pump coupling cavity and the suppression of excitated spontaneous emission (Spontaneous), it is impossible to realize high power pump laser injection.As a result, the output power of the laser cannot be raised.Aiming at the above technical problems, the optimization research of 24 stroke disc laser is carried out in this paper, and the output of high power CW laser is realized, which can meet the needs of practical processing and scientific research application.Based on Lambert-Beer 's law, the absorption efficiency of pump light in multi-stroke crystal is calculated, the variation law between pump spot size and collimation system focal length on disk crystal is calculated based on ABCD transfer matrix, and the uniform bar shaping method is used.The uniform distribution of the energy of the coupling pump spot on the disk crystal is realized by the uniform shaping of the pump light.On this basis, a 24-stroke uniformly pumped high power Yb:YAG disc laser has been developed.The light output performance of 24-stroke disc laser before and after optimization is compared and analyzed by experimental test.The feasibility of the optimization scheme is verified.Finally, the multi-mode CW laser with a central wavelength of 1030nm and a power of 219.9W has been obtained. The optical to optical conversion efficiency is 33.4 and the oblique efficiency is 40. The experimental results provide a theoretical and experimental basis for the future development of a kilowatt single-disc or multi-disc series laser.
