短蒸气室自加热碱金属激光器输出特性

【摘要】:短蒸气室自加热碱金属激光器的原理是利用未被增益介质吸收的抽运光加热碱金属蒸气室。基于三能级速率方程,建立了半导体激光双端抽运碱金属激光器的理论模型,研究了增益介质长度、蒸气室温度和抽运源线宽等参数对短蒸气室自加热碱金属激光器输出激光的影响。研究结果表明,在普通外腔半导体激光器抽运下,增益介质长度为2mm时可以实现瓦级激光输出,选择较高的抽运光功率可提高自加热碱金属激光器的输出功率。该研究结果将为自加热碱金属激光器的实验提供理论基础,并可进一步拓展小功率碱金属激光器的应用领域。
[Abstract]:The principle of short vapor chamber self-heating alkali metal laser is to heat alkali metal vapor chamber by pumping light which is not absorbed by gain medium. Based on the three-level rate equation, a theoretical model of two-end pumped alkali metal laser with semiconductor laser is established, and the gain medium length is studied. The influence of the temperature of vapor chamber and the linewidth of pump source on the output laser of self-heating alkali metal laser in short vapor chamber. The results show that the output of the watt laser can be realized when the gain medium length is 2mm, and the output power of the self-heating alkali metal laser can be improved by selecting a higher pump power. The results will provide a theoretical basis for the experiments of self-heating alkali metal lasers and can further expand the application field of low-power alkali metal lasers.
