Since 1980s , with some high precise methods of determing boron and chlorine isotopes, the variations of boron and chlorine isotopes in nature have been evidenced by high precise determination and a lot of investigations . δ 11 B range from -30‰ to 60‰,and δ 37 Cl range from -2‰ to 7‰. Many significant work about boron and chlorine isotopic geochemistry have been maken in oceans, salt lakes, groundwater,evaporated sediment and hydrothermal fluids. This paper give a brief summary of including analytical methods and application in Earth sciences.

    近十年来,由于高精度硼、氯同位素测定方法的建立,硼、氯同位素地球化学在研究的深度和广度上都得到了快速发展。硼、氯同位素地球化学的研究已在海洋、盐湖、地下水、蒸发岩、热液矿床、环境等方面开展,并显示出在解决一些地学问题方面所具有的良好前景。该文简要概述了目前国内外硼、氯同位素测定方法和在地球科学的一些领域应用方面取得的成果和进展。

    For the sustainable development of humankind we must struggle for the coordinately growth of mining production with environmental protection. One of the ways to achieve this aim is to develop a new research field environmental quality of ore deposit. The main research topics of this new discipline are:(1) the environmental quality of mineral deposit, namely the ore types, the concentration, distribution and controls of toxic metals and minerals, orebody structure and surficial changes; (2) classifying the ore...

One of the ways to achieve this aim is to develop a new research field environmental quality of ore deposit. The main research topics of this new discipline are:(1) the environmental quality of mineral deposit, namely the ore types, the concentration, distribution and controls of toxic metals and minerals, orebody structure and surficial changes; (2) classifying the ore deposits from the environmental pollution degrees and establishing the geo environmental model of ore deposit; (3) evaluating the geo environment of mineral deposit; (4) studying and exploring the new ore deposits and new mineral resource types with high economic environmental quality. Facing the new century, the economic geologists have to change their scientific idea and widen the research field. It is valuable to change the aim of metallogenic study from ‘only for explorating new mineral deposits’ to ‘for expolrating new mineral deposits and doing the basic research on mining environmental protection’.

    为了人类社会的可持续发展,需要实行矿业开发和环境保护的协调发展。矿床的环境质量就是适应这一需要而正在形成的边缘研究领域,它的目的是为改善环境而进行的矿床学研究。主要任务是:①研究矿床的环境质量,包括矿床类型、物质成分(主要是有害组分)、矿体产状、矿床构造及矿床的表生变化过程;②按环境影响程度对矿床作分类,,建立矿床的地质环境模型;③进行矿床的地质环境评价;④研究和找寻经济环境综合效益好的矿床新类型。面向21世纪,矿床地质工作者应更新观念,开拓新的研究领域,将矿床学研究单纯为找矿、采选冶服务转变为矿业开发与环境保护的协调发展服务。

The USGS recent studies were mainly focused on the geoenvironmental models of mineral deposits (32 different types of deposits including volcanic-associated massive sulfide deposits, Sedex, porphyry Cu, Carlin-type Au and Mississippi-valley type Pb-Zn), geochemical background and baseline of mineral...

    The data from the US Geological Survey's official Web site: and some publications in recent years were collected and up-to-date results from the study of geoenvironment of mineral deposits was summarized. The USGS recent studies were mainly focused on the geoenvironmental models of mineral deposits (32 different types of deposits including volcanic-associated massive sulfide deposits, Sedex, porphyry Cu, Carlin-type Au and Mississippi-valley type Pb-Zn), geochemical background and baseline of mineral deposits and mines, comprehensive study on watershed environmental characterization of mineral deposits, specific study of environmental effects in particular mineral deposits. USGS intensive research on the geoenvironment of mineral resources gives the traditional geologists in China a good example of how to survive the hardship because of thrinking mine industry in highly competitive academic world. Based on the studies of USGS and China's current situation, the authors suggest that it would be highly recommendable for China Geological Survey to initiate the likelihood study of geoenvironment models of mineral deposits and environmental assessment indexes of strategic mineral deposits using the data from mineral resource survey and exploration as soon as possible.

    通过收集美国地质调查局近几年公开出版物及其网站上发布的资料,总结了美国在环境矿床学研究方面的最新成果,内容涉及32种矿床的地质—环境模型、矿床的环境地球化学背景或基准值、流域性矿床—环境综合研究和特殊矿床的环境效应等方面。结合美国的研究成果和我国国情,建议我国地质调查局现阶段在该领域研究首先集中在矿床的地质—环境模型和用于战略性资源评价中的矿床环境评价指标等战略性研究上。
