晚清译著《化学鉴原》的翻译与传播

【摘要】:《化学鉴原》由徐寿和傅兰雅编译而成,首次将西方无机化学知识系统地引进中国,是中国近代化学译著中最具代表性的著作之一,也是研究我国近代化学史的重要文献,在近代化学教育、化学名词术语的命名、化学教科书的编写等方面有重要影响。本文采用文献分析法和对比分析法等研究方法,对《化学鉴原》及其原本内容进行分析和研究,并结合《化学鉴原》与同时期化学译著的对比分析,探讨了《化学鉴原》在晚清时期的传播和影响,进一步深化了对中国化学近代化的认识,包括对同期化学译著内容和名词术语使用的影响、对近代化学学科构建及化学教育的影响、对晚清化学工业初步发展和在化学名词术语建立过程中的作用。文章包括七个部分。引言部分详细介绍了选题的依据和意义,并对现有的相关研究进行总结概括,包括对晚清科学译著的研究和对《化学鉴原》的相关研究,找出现有研究中的薄弱环节,为文章研究建立了突破点和起点。此外,这一部分也交代了文章的研究方法和创新之处。第一章对《化学鉴原》进行了详细的概述,为后文的研究奠定了基础。本章共分为两节。第一节是对《化学鉴原》原著者和译著者的介绍。第二节是对《化学鉴原》翻译传播的背景环境的研究和介绍。第二章从《化学鉴原》全本的内容入手,系统分析了《化学鉴原》的内容分布和组成,由此过渡到第三章翻译方法的研究。本章共分为四节。第一节是对书中无机化学基本原理的探讨。第二节是对非金属元素知识的介绍。第三节是对金属元素知识的介绍。第四节是对化学仪器的介绍。第三章在对《化学鉴原》全本内容进行认真分析和研究的基础上,探讨了徐寿和傅兰雅翻译《化学鉴原》的方法。本章共分为两节。第一节中将《化学鉴原》与原文《韦尔斯化学原理及应用》的内容进行了比较,研究了徐寿和傅兰雅在进行文本翻译时对《化学鉴原》内容的选择和删减。第二节具体研究了书中名词术语的翻译,包括名词术语的总体翻译方法、化学元素的命名和化合物的命名。第四章分别从出版情况和传播途径入手,分析和探究了《化学鉴原》在晚清时期的传播情况。本章共分为四节,分别对传播主体、传播受众、传播版本和书籍去向四方面进行分析。第五章对《化学鉴原》的历史影响进行了探究,系统论述了《化学鉴原》对各个层面的影响和作用。本章共分为四节。第一节是对同期化学译著内容和名词术语使用的影响。第二节是在化学名词术语建立过程中的作用。第三节是对近代化学学科构建及化学教育的影响。第四节是对晚清化学工业初步发展的影响。结语部分对全文内容进行了总结概括,深刻揭示了《化学鉴原》的翻译和传播带来的深远影响。
[Abstract]:Compiled by Xu Shou and Fu Lanya, "Chemical connoisseur" is the first systematic introduction of western inorganic chemistry knowledge into China. It is one of the most representative works in the translation of modern Chinese chemistry, and is also an important document for studying the history of modern chemistry in China. In modern chemistry education, the naming of chemical terms, the compilation of chemistry textbooks and so on, this paper analyzes and studies the original contents of Chemical connotations by using the methods of literature analysis and comparative analysis. Based on the comparative analysis of chemical connoisseur and chemical translated works of the same period, this paper discusses the spread and influence of chemical connoisseur in the late Qing Dynasty, and further deepens the understanding of the modernization of chemistry in China. Including the influence on the contents of the simultaneous chemical translations and the use of noun terms, on the construction of modern chemistry disciplines and on the chemistry education, The paper consists of seven parts. The introduction introduces the basis and significance of the topic in detail, and summarizes the existing relevant studies. Including the research on the scientific translation of the late Qing Dynasty and the related studies on Chemical connoisseur, to find the weak links in the research, and to establish a breakthrough point and a starting point for the study of the article. This part also explains the research methods and innovations of the article. This chapter is divided into two sections. The first section is the introduction of the original and the translator. The second section is the research and introduction of the background environment of the translation and dissemination of chemical connoisseur. The second chapter starts with the contents of the whole edition of "Chemical connoisseur". The content distribution and composition of Chemical Identification are systematically analyzed. This chapter is divided into four sections. The first section is the discussion of the basic principles of inorganic chemistry in the book. The second section is the introduction of the knowledge of nonmetallic elements. The third section is the knowledge of metal elements. Section 4th is an introduction to chemical instruments. The third chapter is based on the careful analysis and study of the whole contents of chemical connoisseur. This chapter is divided into two sections. In the first section, the contents of Chemical Identification are compared with those of the original text < Chemical principles and applications of Wells]. This paper studies the selection and deletion of the contents of Chemical connoisseur by Xu Shou and Fu Lanya in the course of text translation. Section two studies the translation of noun terms in the book, including the overall translation of noun terms. Chapter 4th analyzes and probes into the spread of Chemical Identification in the late Qing Dynasty. The chapter is divided into four sections: the main body of communication and the audience of communication. Chapter 5th probes into the historical influence of the book, "the original of Chemical Identification", from four aspects: the spread of the edition and the direction of the book. This chapter is divided into four sections. The first section is the influence on the content of simultaneous chemical translation and the use of noun terms. The second section is the process of establishing chemical terminology. Section 4th is the influence on the initial development of chemical industry in the late Qing Dynasty. It deeply reveals the profound influence brought by the translation and dissemination of chemical connoisseur.
