【摘要】:虚拟化技术是云计算的核心支撑技术之一。通过虚拟化技术可以整合过多的服务器和桌面硬件来减少物理基础架构所占用的空间,动态管理整个服务器池中的计算资产,降低数据中心的能源需求。从而达到节约成本、降低能效需求。 虚拟机动态迁移能够在尽量保证服务的情况下,将虚拟机从一台物理服务器迁移到另一台物理服务器。动态迁移的关键在于尽可能的减少迁移时间和宕机时间。本文以开源Xen作为实验平台,重点研究了Xen虚拟机动态迁移的流程和内存迁移的预拷贝(Pre-copy)算法。 当前动态迁移算法在首轮内存页传输时传输了很多空白页,效率不高,在高脏页率时算法对内存进行重复的迭代传输,直至达到最大迭代轮数,,增大了虚拟机的总体迁移时间和宕机时间。针对这些问题,本文提出基于ZRLE(Zero Run Length Encoding)首轮内存页压缩算法和改进的脏页延迟传送算法(DPDT,Dirty Page Delayed Transfer)。分析和实验表明,基于ZRLE首轮内存页压缩算法可以有效的减少虚拟机迁移的总体时间;在高脏页率的情况下,改进的脏页延迟传送算法可以有效的减少虚拟机的宕机时间和总体迁移时间。
[Abstract]:Virtualization technology is one of the core supporting technologies of cloud computing. Through virtualization technology, too many servers and desktop hardware can be integrated to reduce the space occupied by physical infrastructure. Dynamic management of computing assets in the whole server pool reduces the energy demand of the data center so as to achieve cost savings and reduce energy efficiency requirements. Virtual machine dynamic migration can guarantee the service as much as possible. Migration of virtual machine from one physical server to another physical server. The key to dynamic migration is to minimize migration time and downtime. This paper takes open source Xen as the experimental platform. This paper focuses on the process of dynamic migration of Xen virtual machine and the pre-copy algorithm of memory migration. The current dynamic migration algorithm transfers a lot of blank pages in the first round of page transfer, so the efficiency is not high. When the rate of dirty pages is high, the iterative transfer of memory is repeated until the maximum number of iterations is reached. Increases the total migration time and downtime of virtual machine. In this paper, we propose a first-round page compression algorithm based on ZRLE(Zero Run Length coding and an improved dirty page delay transfer algorithm (DPDT). The analysis and experiment of Dirty Page Delayed transfer show that the algorithm based on ZRLE can effectively reduce the total migration time of virtual machine. In the case of high dirty page rate, the improved dirty page delay transfer algorithm can effectively reduce the virtual machine downtime and total migration time.
