数据流多核模拟器的设计与实现

【摘要】:计算机系统模拟对于现代计算机系统的设计十分重要,尤其是在处理器设计领域。在目标体系结构的逻辑设计和电路设计之前,通过对目标体系结构进行系统模拟,设计者不仅可以初步的评测目标系统的性能,判断系统性能是否达到设计上的要求,而且还可以针对设计的关键要求选择有针对性的方案。 本文详细阐述了数据流多核模拟器的设计与实现。该模拟器为基线模型,采用执行驱动技术,可运行用户级应用程序,具有软件结构模块化、参数可配置、数据统计功能全面等特点。 首先根据数据流多核模拟器的设计目的和需求分析,选择了模拟技术方案,然后描述了模拟器的总体结构和功能模块划分,接下来分两个方面论述了模拟器的设计与实现: (1)指令集仿真。该部分主要介绍了指令的定义与解码和系统调用处理。其中,系统调用的实现方式采用宿主机代理。 (2)数据流多核模拟器功能模块的设计与实现。该部分主要讨论了模拟器总体设计思想、模块划分和模拟技术方案选择。模拟器一共包含6个模块,分别为执行区模块、互联网络模块、存储器模块、消息模块、辅助功能模块和模拟器模块。 本文最后对模拟器的正确性进行了测试和数据分析。
[Abstract]:Computer system simulation is very important to the design of modern computer system, especially in the field of processor design. Before the logical design and circuit design of the target architecture, the designer can not only evaluate the performance of the target system, but also judge the performance of the system, and judge the performance of the system. In addition, we can also select targeted solutions for key design requirements.
In this paper, the design and implementation of a data flow multi core simulator are described in detail. The simulator is a baseline model, uses execution drive technology, and can run user level applications. It has the characteristics of modularization of software structure, configuration of parameters, and comprehensive data statistics function.
Firstly, based on the design purpose and requirement analysis of the data flow multi core simulator, the simulation technology scheme is selected. Then the overall structure and function module division of the simulator are described. Then the design and implementation of the simulator are discussed in two aspects.
(1) instruction set simulation. This part mainly introduces the definition and decoding of instructions, and the processing of system calls, in which the system calls are implemented by host agent.
(2) the design and implementation of the function module of the data flow multi core simulator. This part mainly discusses the overall design idea of the simulator, the module division and the selection of the simulation technical scheme. The simulator contains 6 modules, which are the executive area module, the interconnected network module, the memory module, the message module, the auxiliary function module and the simulator module.
Finally, the correctness of the simulator is tested and analyzed.
