服务器虚拟化技术在黄浦区教育数据中心中的应用

【摘要】:黄浦区教育数据中心建立于2001年,一直以来承载着区教育校校通城域网骨干连接以及区内主要应用服务平台的建设和维护工作由于缺乏整体的规划,随着近几年来业务规模和用户数量的不断增加,黄浦区教育数据中心原有基础架构已疲态尽显,无法满足用户对高质量服务的要求在日常维护管理工作中,资源利用率不高管理效率不高业务连续性差数据备份困难等问题也长期困扰着数据中心管理人员 为了解决以上的问题,本文引入了服务器虚拟化技术旨在利用虚拟化技术,提高基础架构的灵活性,实现业务平台的整合和物理资源的共享,简化配套基础设施的建设需求,降低改建成本和运维成本,提高业务系统的可用性和数据的安全性 本文首先对黄浦区教育数据中心的现状和问题进行深入分析,总结出目前迫切需要解决的问题接着,从虚拟化技术相关概念的介绍入手,结合目前数据中心主流发展趋势,论述了服务器虚拟化技术在数据中心中应用的必要性随后,,深入分析服务器虚拟化技术的实现方式和方法,进一步论述服务器虚拟化技术应用的可行性最后,结合服务器虚拟化最佳实践,有针对性地规划设计和实现了一套基于VMware vSphere的动态资源池的解决方案 动态资源池的实现采用了规划设计实现和评估这4个步骤来完成 规划环节中参照各业务系统的原有设计要求和历史监控数据分析结果,设定了虚拟化资源池的建设目标 设计环节中,通过对历史监控数据进行精细化梳理应用服务归类的方式,细化了性能和容量的需求;按照规划要求,设计各功能组件的实现方式和高可用性的实现方法;设计独立的管理组件,实现系统管理规划目标;根据业务规划要求,分别就虚拟机的可用性ESXi主机集群的可用性动态资源池的可扩展性以及系统备份恢复4个主要功能,设计合理的测试评估方案 实现过程主要是基于vSphere平台搭建虚拟化的基础构架部署实现基本功能模块和管理组件 评估环节中,采用加载模拟业务负载的方式,测试和评估VM的可用性;通过模拟主机故障的方式,验证ESXi主机集群的可用性;通过并机扩容和模板快速部署这两个实验,验证动态资源池的可扩展性;最后通过模拟使用快照功能恢复故障业务系统的场景,验证系统安全性 本文利用VMware提供的虚拟化解决方案来搭建动态资源池,实现对现有服务器群的整合通过虚拟化整合,不仅提高了基础构架的灵活性,提升了服务器物理资源的使用效率,还降低基础构架的升级和维护成本,简化服务器管理模式,提高数据中心的服务水平项目实施结果表明,通过搭建基于虚拟化技术的动态资源池不但有效地解决了黄浦区教育数据中心发展中迫切需要解决的问题,而且增强基础构架的灵活性和可用性,使黄浦区教育数据中心能够更好地满足未来发展的需要
[Abstract]:The Huangpu District education data center was established in 2001. It has been carrying the backbone connection of the district education school, the construction and maintenance of the main application service platform in the district. Because of the lack of overall planning, the original infrastructure of the Huangpu District education data center has been increased with the increasing number of business scale and the number of users in recent years. In the daily maintenance and management, the resource utilization rate is not high and the business continuity is not high. The problem of data center managers has been plagued by the data center managers for a long time.
In order to solve the above problems, this paper introduces the server virtualization technology to use virtualization technology to improve the flexibility of the infrastructure, realize the integration of the business platform and share the physical resources, simplify the construction requirements of the supporting infrastructure, reduce the cost of reconstruction and operation and maintenance, and improve the availability of the business system and the data security. This paper first analyzes the current situation and problems of Huangpu District education data center, and summarizes the urgent problems that need to be solved. From the introduction of the concept of virtualization technology and the mainstream trend of the data center, the necessity of the application of server virtualization technology in the data center is discussed. This paper analyzes the implementation methods and methods of server virtualization technology, and further discusses the feasibility of server virtualization technology application. Combining the best practice of server virtualization, a set of solutions for dynamic resource pool based on VMware vSphere is designed and implemented.
The realization of dynamic resource pool is accomplished by 4 steps: planning, design, implementation and evaluation.
Referring to the original design requirements of each business system and the analysis results of historical monitoring data, the construction target of virtual resource pool is set in the planning section.
In the design link, through the fine carding of the history monitoring data and classification of application services, the requirements of performance and capacity are refined. According to the requirements of the planning, the realization methods of various functional components and the realization methods of high availability are designed; independent management components are designed to realize the goal of system management planning; according to business planning, The extensibility of the availability dynamic resource pool of the availability of ESXi host cluster and the recovery of the system back up 4 main functions, respectively, to design a reasonable test evaluation scheme.
The implementation process is mainly based on the vSphere platform to build the basic framework of virtualization and deploy the basic functional modules and management components.
In the evaluation process, the availability of VM is tested and evaluated by loading the analog business load; the availability of the ESXi host cluster is verified by simulating the host failure; the scalability of the dynamic resource pool is verified by the two experiments with the parallel machine expansion and the template rapid deployment; finally, the simulation uses the snapshot function to restore it.
