职业高中计算机专业学生英语学习动机实证研究

【摘要】:职业高中学生相对来说文化基础比较差,就我校而言,,计算机专业的学生英语基础比较薄弱。鉴于此,本文以笔者所在学校三个班级计算机专业的150多名学生为研究对象,主要采用定性和定量相结合的方法,调查职业高中计算机专业学生英语学习动机的状况,揭示其动机的类型、不同英语学业水平的学生在动机上的差异以及产生不同动机的影响因素或原因等。调查步骤主要是发放问卷调查,数据收集和数据分析。研究表明:职业高中计算机专业学生英语学习动机主要有“个人发展”、“内在兴趣+外在压力”、“学习情境”、“信息媒介”和“出国”五类,主次程度按上述顺序所列。 在学习情境动机中,最影响学生英语学习积极性的是英语学习气氛,除此之外,教师行为也对学生英语学习产生了重要作用。对于计算机专业的学生而言,想更好地学习计算机专业是他们英语学习的一大动力,因为计算机专业很多课程、教材、教学活动等都要用到英语,如专业术语名称、程序软件的编写等。在学习态度方面,学习成绩好的同学动机强,学习态度认真,学习成绩不好的没有积极地参与课堂活动,更加缺乏课后利用机会学习英语的意识,这表明学习态度对学生英语学习的重要性。在语言焦虑方面,语言焦虑最严重的是学习成绩一般的学生。在自我效能方面,成绩不好的学生对英语学习丧失了自信心,很多学生目前英语学习的状态是“基本放弃英语学习”。在结果归因方面,学习成绩好的同学,归因是“努力、教师和效能”三方面,而成绩不好的同学归因是“信心、能力和努力”。所以学习成绩差的学生没有成就感,渴望得到老师和父母的鼓励和表扬。除此之外,本文提出了一些激发和培养职业高中计算机专业学生英语学习动机的方法。
[Abstract]:The students of vocational high school are relatively poor in their cultural foundation, and the students majoring in computer science are relatively weak in English as far as our school is concerned. In view of this, this paper takes more than 150 students of computer major in three classes of my school as the research object, mainly adopts the qualitative and quantitative method to investigate the English learning motivation of vocational high school computer major students. It reveals the types of motivation, the differences in motivation among students with different English academic levels, and the factors or reasons that influence the motivation. The main steps of the investigation are the distribution of questionnaires, data collection and data analysis. The results show that the English learning motivation of computer major students in vocational high school mainly includes "personal development", "internal interest and external pressure", "learning situation", "information medium" and "going abroad". Among the motivation of learning situation, English learning atmosphere is the most important influence on students' English learning enthusiasm. Besides, teachers' behavior also plays an important role in English learning. For students majoring in computer science, it is a great motivation for them to study computer major better, because many courses, teaching materials, teaching activities and so on in computer major are used in English, such as the name of professional terminology. The preparation of program software, etc. In terms of learning attitude, students with good grades have strong motivation, serious attitude towards learning, and those with poor academic performance do not actively participate in classroom activities, and lack the awareness of taking advantage of the opportunity to learn English after class. This shows the importance of learning attitude to students' English learning. In terms of language anxiety, language anxiety is most serious among students with average academic achievement. In the aspect of self-efficacy, students with poor achievement lose their confidence in English learning, and many students' present state of English learning is "basically giving up English learning". In the aspect of result attribution, the students with good academic achievement are attributed to "effort, teacher and efficiency", while those with poor achievement are attributed to "confidence, ability and effort". Therefore, students with poor academic performance have no sense of achievement and are eager to be encouraged and praised by their teachers and parents. In addition, this paper puts forward some methods to stimulate and cultivate the English learning motivation of computer majors in vocational high schools.
