喷墨打印多级调频加网模块的研发

【摘要】:近年来,支持多级输出的打印机涌现市场,它们通过高寻址技术或改变打印头设计等方法来控制微小墨滴的落点,,从而在承印物上实现多级输出。多级打印输出需要有相应的多级加网软件模块来支持,而多级加网算法是这一软件模块的核心。本研究通过分析现有的多级加网算法,发现它们存在算法效果不理想、复杂度太高或者对硬件要求过高等缺陷。其中最为人们普遍接受的多级误差扩散算法也存在着明显的缺陷,即半色调后的图像在中间调缓变区域存在伪轮廓现象。针对这一缺陷,本文引入数学形态学中的开运算操作对多级误差扩散半色调图像进行处理,获得伪轮廓区域图像,并采用邻域生长和填充补偿的方法对伪轮廓进行修正。实验证明论文提出的新算法可以在一定程度上改善甚至消除伪轮廓现象。 本文主要研究内容包括以下几点: (1)分析现有的二级半色调算法以及多级误差扩散算法,研究基于多级误差扩散半色调算法的图像中出现“伪轮廓”的主要原因。 (2)利用数学形态学方法处理半色调后的图像,查找“伪轮廓”出现位置,控制开运算算子以获得准确的“伪轮廓”边缘。 (3)利用Matlab仿真,采取“填充补偿”以及“邻域生长”两种方法分别对存在伪轮廓的半色调图像进行修正,并比较两种算法的优劣。 (4)采用Matlab——JAVA混合编程方法实现喷墨打印的多级调频加网软件模块的开发,并借助ESC语言驱动Epson7880喷墨打印机输出多级图像。 本文的创新点主要体现在: (1)思路创新,首次将数学形态学的方法引入图像半色调过程中,用以查找多级半色调图像中存在的伪轮廓区域。 (2)首次提出了采用邻域生长和填充补偿两种方法对伪轮廓区域进行修正。 (3)在对半色调图像进行客观评价时,尝试性地提出用分块的PSNR值作为评价参数,通过实验验证该评价参数是有效可靠的。 本文的修正算法可以减轻甚至完全消除原算法中的伪轮廓现象,本文提出的算法修正的思路也可供其它半色调图像处理借鉴和参考。 本论文得到江苏省研究生创新工程项目“喷墨印刷的色彩信息高保真再现研究”(CXZZ110517)的支持_。 论文的研究成果已经申请专利,专利申请号为:201210001099.8。
[Abstract]:In recent years, there has been a market for printers that support multistage output. They control the drop point of tiny ink droplets by means of high addressing technology or changing printing head design, so as to achieve multistage output on the substrate. The multilevel print output needs to be supported by the corresponding multilevel netting software module, and the multilevel netting algorithm is the core of the software module. Through the analysis of the existing multilevel netting algorithms, it is found that they have some shortcomings, such as poor performance, too high complexity or too high hardware requirements. The most widely accepted multilevel error diffusion algorithm also has obvious defects, that is, the half-tone image has pseudo-contour phenomenon in the middle slow region. In order to solve this problem, the open operation in mathematical morphology is introduced to process the multilevel error diffusion halftone image, and the pseudo contour region image is obtained, and the pseudo contour is corrected by neighborhood growth and filling compensation. Experimental results show that the proposed new algorithm can improve or even eliminate the false contour phenomenon to some extent. The main contents of this paper are as follows: (1) analyze the existing two-level halftone algorithm and multi-level error diffusion algorithm, and study the main reasons of "pseudo contour" in the image based on multilevel error diffusion halftone algorithm. (2) the half-tone image is processed by mathematical morphology method, the position of "pseudo contour" is found, and the operating arithmetic is controlled to obtain accurate "pseudo contour" edge. (3) the half-tone image with pseudo-contour is modified by Matlab simulation, and the advantages and disadvantages of the two algorithms are compared by using "fill compensation" method and "neighborhood growth" method. (4) the multilevel FM screening software module of inkjet printing is developed by using Matlab--JAVA mixed programming method, and the multilevel image output of Epson7880 inkjet printer is driven by ESC language. The main innovations of this paper are as follows: (1) the method of mathematical morphology is introduced into the process of image halftone for the first time to find the pseudo-contour region in multilevel halftone images. (2) neighborhood growth and filling compensation are used to modify the pseudo-contour region for the first time. (3) in the objective evaluation of halftone images, we try to use the PSNR value of blocks as the evaluation parameters, and the experimental results show that the evaluation parameters are effective and reliable. The modified algorithm in this paper can reduce or even eliminate the false contour phenomenon in the original algorithm. The proposed algorithm can also be used for reference in other halftone image processing. This thesis is supported by the innovative engineering project of Jiangsu Province, "High fidelity reproduction of color information in ink jet printing" (CXZZ110517).
