    It has been planting and appraising 115 varieties of barley which were introduced from foreign country and other province since 1983. It is high resistant to lodging and stress tolerance. Grain quality satisfied the requirements of beer-brewage. The growing period of this variety became shorter with the latitute...

    It has been planting and appraising 115 varieties of barley which were introduced from foreign country and other province since 1983. The high-yield and high-Quality variety-Humai No. 4 was selected. Through four years experiments it is revealed that Humai No. 4 got 200--270kg per mu under different natural conditions in Guangxi. It is high resistant to lodging and stress tolerance. Grain quality satisfied the requirements of beer-brewage. The growing period of this variety became shorter with the latitute reduced but the required summation of temperature is limited at a stable value, i. e. about 1760℃. There are a clear turning point between the seeding time and yield gained. The yield reduced obviously when it was sowed after November 25. The results also indicated that it was suitable when the basic number of seedling was in the tange of 100--150 thousands per mu, and the yield got highest when the effective panicles reached 333 thousands per mu.

    The effect on the pcroxidation and cell membrane permeability of aged rapcseeds by osmotic treatment with, polyethylene glycol(PEG) was studied. After aged rapesecds were treated in 20% PEG 6000 solution(at 10-15?),the germination rate and the germinating index of seeds were significantly increased,the cell membrane permeability,the content of peroxide and the lipid peroxidation level of deteriorated seeds were lowered,while the stress tolerance of seeds was obviously raised.

Developmental stage returned from mature: type to juvenile type. This is characterized by, (1) like seedlings anther plants having a strong taproot and lateral roots; (2) larger trunk conisity resembled to seedlings; (3) smaller included angle of shoots to stocks when budding made with budpatches from 1.5—year—old plants, which is quite different from mature—type with larger included angle of shoots to stock; (4) good uniformity in growth and morphological characters and (5) like seedlings with better stress tolerance and longer economic life.Besides, anther somatic plant can evade the undesirable effects of stocks on scions. Therefore, it is a promising new planting material.

    花药体细胞植株,集芽接树和实生树的优点于一体,是一种幼态自根无性系,表现出许多优良性状: 1.生长快。比母体芽接树快9—20%,大致可提早一年开割投产。 2.产量高。海垦1和海垦2花药体细胞植株头两割年平均单株产量分别为母体无性系的131%和143%。 3.发育阶段从老态回复到幼态。表现在:和实生苗一样有一条粗壮的主根及一轮侧根;茎干圆锥度大,酷似实生树;取1.5年生植株的芽片芽接,抽生的嫩枝与砧木夹角小。这和老态型(抽生嫩枝与砧木夹角大)有明显差别,植株性状整齐一致;抗逆性强,经济寿命长,可排除砧木对接穗的不良影响。因此花药体细胞植株是一种很有发展前途的新一代种植材料。
