大学领导背景特征与高校国际化战略的关系研究

【摘要】:随着经济全球化的不断深化和我国高等教育发展的内在需求,高等教育的国际化水平越来越成为国家、社会、院校以及学生和家长日益关注的指标。而大学如同企业和其他社会组织,有着相似的组织架构,其领导在组织的政策制定和实施中扮演者不可替代的作用。大学的校长和党委书记,作为大学的最高层领导,左右甚至决定着学校的改革和规划,对学校发展有着重要而深远的现实意义。而大学领导如何做决策、做出什么样的决策又是基于其个人背景和经历的、具有个人价值观和认知能力的综合产物。所以,大学领导具有什么样的背景特征能够促进高校国际化战略的制定和实施是值得探讨的现实问题。本研究选取了《中国大学国际化排名URI-2014》中国际化得分排名前112的高校作为研究对象,即我国112所高校中的校长、党委书记,同时借助网络搜索引擎,通过各校官方网站、教育部网站等途径搜集112所高校中领导的各项背景信息,包括人口统计学、教育、职业等方面的信息;并基于高阶理论等对大学领导背景与高校国际化战略的关系进行假设;采取实证的方法分析大学领导的描述性统计特征、进行相关系数分析和回归分析;最后根据所得分析数据总结结论并对大学领导的遴选和任用提出可能的建议。本研究主要分为以下几个部分:首先,通过分析领导背景与战略决策的关系、高校国际化的重要趋势来阐述本研究的选题背景及意义、提出将研究领导背景与高校国际化战略之间是否存在相关性、以及情境变量的调节效应的问题;其次,梳理国内外的相关文献,从大学领导对大学发展的影响、大学领导的背景特征和现代大学国际化动因三个维度出发,总结并简要评价目前相关领域的研究成果和主要结论;第三,阐述本文的理论基础与研究假设,介绍高阶理论以及其运用到分析企业和大学领导层的适用性。并根据研究思路进一步提出8项研究假设;第四,进行研究设计,明确数据来源。阐明样本选择的依据及本文中所运用的研究方法,介绍变量的选择、分类、编码和测量,并根据文章逻辑和变量设计建构模型。第五,进行实证研究并分析数据结果。一方面对大学领导背景特征进行描述性统计,另一方面对大学领导的相关系数和回归结果进行解释;最后,根据实证结果进行总结,分析领导背景特对于高校国际化战略的影响及调节变量产生效应的原因,并对大学校长和书记的遴选提出能的建议。并且反思本文中的不足之处及未来努力的方向。
[Abstract]:With the deepening of economic globalization and the inherent needs of the development of higher education in China, the internationalization level of higher education has become more and more national and social. Colleges and universities and students and parents are increasingly concerned about indicators. Universities, like enterprises and other social organizations, have similar organizational structures, Its leadership plays an irreplaceable role in the formulation and implementation of organizational policies. The presidents and party secretaries of universities, as the top leaders of universities, influence or even determine the reform and planning of schools. It has important and far-reaching practical significance for the development of the school. And how and what kind of decisions are made by university leaders are based on their personal background and experience, and have a comprehensive product of personal values and cognitive abilities. What kind of background characteristics of university leaders can promote the formulation and implementation of university internationalization strategy is a practical problem worth to be discussed. This study selected the top 112th internationalization score in the "URI-2014" of China University internationalization ranking. Colleges and universities as the object of study, That is, the presidents and party secretaries of 112 colleges and universities in our country, at the same time, through the Internet search engine, through the official websites of each school, the website of the Ministry of Education, and other channels to collect the background information of the leaders of 112 universities, including demographics, education, etc. On the basis of higher order theory, this paper hypothesizes the relationship between university leadership background and university internationalization strategy, analyzes the descriptive statistical characteristics of university leaders by empirical method, and carries out correlation coefficient analysis and regression analysis. Finally, the conclusions are summarized according to the analysis data, and the possible suggestions on the selection and appointment of university leaders are put forward. This study is mainly divided into the following parts: first, through the analysis of the relationship between leadership background and strategic decision-making, The important trend of internationalization of colleges and universities to explain the background and significance of this study, put forward whether there is a correlation between the background of leadership and the internationalization strategy of colleges and universities, as well as the adjustment effect of situational variables. Secondly, Combing the relevant literature at home and abroad, from the impact of university leaders on the development of universities, the background characteristics of university leaders and the motivation of internationalization of modern universities, this paper summarizes and briefly evaluates the current research results and main conclusions in related fields. Thirdly, the theoretical basis and research hypothesis of this paper are expounded, and the higher order theory and its application in analyzing the applicability of enterprise and university leadership are introduced. Furthermore, according to the research ideas, 8 research hypotheses are put forward. 4th, research design is carried out. Clarify the data source, clarify the basis for sample selection and the research methods used in this paper, introduce the selection, classification, coding and measurement of variables, and design a model based on the logic and variables of the article. 5th, On the one hand, it makes descriptive statistics on the background characteristics of university leaders, on the other hand, it explains the correlation coefficient and regression results of university leaders; finally, it summarizes the results according to the empirical results. This paper analyzes the influence of leadership background on the internationalization strategy of colleges and universities and the reasons for the influence of regulating variables, and puts forward some suggestions for the selection of university presidents and secretaries, and reflects on the shortcomings of this paper and the direction of future efforts.
