中国亚热带地区森林更新动态及其与生物和非生物环境的相互作用

  森林系统的自然再生对维持森林的物理和生物结构提供了一个关键的机制,对保护森林物种多样性和提供生态系统服务具有重要的价值。然而,人们对这一森林自然更新过程及其在群落构建和动态中所起的关键作用仍缺乏了解。本论文选择了位于中国广西亚热带森林带上的岑王老山、花坪、木伦及大瑶山的山地或喀斯特常绿落叶阔叶混交林为研究对象,重点关注种子的产出(即种子雨)、土壤种子库和种子萌发形成的幼苗库之间相互联系的自然更新过程,探明生物和非生物因素对种群成功更新的影响,从而增加我们对最终塑造森林生态系统的早期植物个体发生阶段的生态过程的了解。(1)大量结实指年际间的和同步的高种子生产的繁殖事件,是一种在许多植物种中都得到进化的广泛分布的繁殖策略。第一部分的野外连续观测研究分析了中华枫(Acer campbellii subs.sinense)的大量结实事件及其对种群增长的影响。结果表明中华枫的种子并不持续存在于土壤种子库中(温室种子萌发实验中发现种子数为0),其幼苗死亡率很高,93%的新增个体存活期不超过一年。幼苗的成活率主要受到个体大小的影响,较高幼苗和叶片数量较多的个体存活率更大;其次受到幼苗所处的微生境(例如...
